Customer Reviews of Bottom Buddy Toilet Tissue AidCustomer Review: TP-aide for handicapped persons Summary: 4 Stars
Due to a herniated disc my mobility is limited and I have problems cleaning my bottom after a bowel movement. I first built my own, improvised device from a wire clothes hanger, which worked, but was inconvenient to use. With an Internet search I discovered a few commercial devices, one of which was the "Bottom Buddy".
It took some practice using the device, but then it performs quite well. I am using 2-ply toilet paper and fold over two squares. One has to learn to insert the square into the slots of the flexible head. Inserted to deep, it does not release properly. To completely clean my bottom usually takes 6 - 7 TP double-squares.
I can recommend the device. It is not perfect, but it appears to be the best device of this kind available commercially.

Customer Review: Works very well for awhile. . . Summary: 3 Stars
If you have struggles that necessitate the use of this product, it will do the job admirably for approximately two to four months. Eventually though, the stress on the plastic develops a small crack at first that grows to a point where the product is rendered useless. I have been able to prolong the use of the item by wrapping the top 1/2 of the product tightly with masking and electrical tape which lengthened the life of the product to 6-8 months. The cracks do appear apparently no matter what you do and the product must be discarded. At $40.00 to $60.00 a pop for the product, this is somewhat unacceptable.
Customer Review: These things break and they claim that they do not Summary: 2 Stars
I have purchased and broken two of these and there is a design flaw, too narrow at the pivot point. I was told "there has never been a complaint of one of these breaking" and they blamed me, the "end" user. Now I read that others have had the same problem and it makes me VERY ANGRY that they lied about this problem. I will not buy another of these untill or unless they fix the design flaw. I am insulted that they would blame me. Now Acive Forever replaced the first one that broke, they are wonderful people, but they were told by the manufacturer that none had ever broke. Grrrrr.

Customer Review: A must have for the person who needs it! Summary: 5 Stars
Most folks would not bother reviewing this, but I have to say it is one of the simplest of designs and most useful of tools I have ever had. Recommended by an occupational therapist after my knee operations when I had limited mobility, I have continued to use and love it. Only drawback -- the top of the arm is thinner and will crack over time, so be careful with it.
Customer Review: God Send ! Summary: 5 Stars
Prior to receiving this aid, due to Parkinson's I had difficulty because of limited range of motion. This aid has helped me continue to care for myself. It works as stated and is the perfect angle. I've gone to medical supply stores in search of products such as these and have found this to be the most accommodating and most reasonably priced.
