Customer Reviews of Bounce Dryer Bar - 2 Month Outdoor Fresh, 44-Use Box Carton and Plastic Clamshell (Pack of 6)Customer Review: Much more convenient and no problems. Summary: 5 Stars
Customer review from the Amazon Vine™ Program (What's this?)
I was a little worried about this product, would it stick to the drum like it is supposed to, would it soften, would it affect the dryer, etc. So far there have been no problems. The dryer bar works the way it is supposed to, always a plus. The big advantage is obviously no need to put in a new sheet every time. The clothes appear to be as soft and with no static as with a sheet.
The Outdoor Fresh smell seems to be a little stronger that when you use a single sheet, but that may decrease as the bar is used, but we actually liked that. We did not notice any kind of sticky residue like some other reviewers mentioned. We do full loads and were wondering if that may be the problem or if it is simply because when the product is new more may be released.
Not sure I'm doing the math right but bounce sheets sell 320 sheets for $20.09 or about 16 cents a sheet. A six pack of these on Amazon sells for $30.40 and its stated each pack does 44 loads, which comes to 9 cents per load. Even if the amount of loads is a bit optimistic well worth it not to have to mess around with sheets. Really worth it if you do get 44 loads per bar, actually cheaper than sheets.
Finally the REALLY big advantage. I don't know how many times I have been absent mindedly scratching away at my sleeve or wherever and when I realized what I was doing finally consciously reached inside my clothes and found a dryer sheet. Never again.
Customer Review: So far so good Summary: 5 Stars

Fantastic idea that works well. All you do is stick a plastic holder in your dryer and add a bar of fabric softener that can be replaced. I like fabric softener, but hate the sheets and can't be bothered to use the liquid. This works out really well. I have washed about 10 loads of clothes and it's still going strong. The clothes come out nice and fresh, not over powered at all. I love that there isn't a lot of waste! I've had zero problem with it staying stuck in my dryer. So far it's been a great product. It says it lasts 2 months, but it depends on how much you use it. The true test will be how long and continuous it last, but so far so good.
This is also an Amazon vine product and I have yet to be able to find it in stores to price check it, so it remains to be seen how great of a value it is for some people. For me though, it's something I will use regardless of price. Recommended!
EDIT : I've used it a few times or more a week since my original review, 21 days ago and it still works very well. No signs of slowing down. I see there is finally a price, and this should come to being a years worth of fabric softener for 30 bucks. Pretty good deal.
I have noticed some complaints that you can't control the fabric softener and that is true. But if you use it for everything it's wonderful. I do suppose you could remove the bar if you had to.
Customer Review: Does the job Summary: 3 Stars
Customer review from the Amazon Vine™ Program (What's this?)
Okay, Up front. I'm in the Amazon Vine thingy.
They sent me one bar free to use and review. No money switched hands just a free trial of the product.
The bar is convenient. You don't have to tear off sheets or remember to add the liquid to the washing machine. And it smells very good. It does a good job softening clothing and leaves them with a nice scent, and reduces static cling. If I regularly bought commercial softening products I'd buy it again, but I use dryer balls.
The gadget that holds the bar is easy to install and doesn't slide around or fall off. It hasn't for me yet anyway. But I'm only one reviewer here. Your mileage may vary.
I've used commercial store bought fabric softeners in the past, and the strongest recommendation for this product, I can make, is for the convenience factor. Refilling is quick and easy, just pop another bar into the holder gadget. The bar lasts about a month (well for me it did) give or take a few days, like any other product it depends on the amount of laundry you do. Fewer loads and it lasts longer and more loads and it won't last as long. Although like I mentioned before the scent is very nice.
So this is my first product review for Vine. I don't know what else to say. It's fabric softener. It works well. It's convenient, it smells good. :)
Customer Review: Will not work for me Summary: 2 Stars
Customer review from the Amazon Vine™ Program (What's this?)
This seemed like a good idea initially, but when I examined the product, including how it is applied to the dryer, and actually smelled it, I knew that I could not use it. When I first opened the package, the smell was overwhelming, sort of a strong, soapy odor. I did not want my clothes (or possibly me) to smell like this product. The second thing that bothered me is that if this is attached in your dryer, everything gets conditioned, in the same amount, whether you want it that way or not. This was a real problem because my husband and I each do our own laundry (this has gone on for 18 years). What I didn't learn until I discussed this product with him is that he never, ever, uses conditioner on his jockies and socks in the dryer (it must be a guy thing). What that would mean is that I would be responsible to either remove the entire product from the dryer after each of my washloads, or somehow figure out how to just remove the bar insert. This would easily become a hassle, especially the first time I forgot. Also, if you read the instructions, it is not not easy to remove the cartridge, and it might not be possible to repeatedly install and uninstall it. Seriously, though, the strong smell is very off putting, and I would recommend you examine the product in a brick and mortar store before you purchase this online.
Customer Review: Very convenient--works as well as regular Bounce Summary: 4 Stars

Honestly, I wasn't too sure that the Bounce dryer bar was for me. I'm a sporadic fabric softener sheet user... sometimes I remember, sometimes I don't. When I do remember, I'm always pleasantly surprised by the fresh smell, extra softness, and lack of static electricity. But do I really want to attach a semi-permanent thing to my dryer? Behold the Bounce Dryer Bar. It looks sort of like a bar of soap or deoderant....and attaches to the dryer quite easily. (Supposedly the plastic holder removes quite easily as well... but I haven't tried it yet.) As you use it, it gently wares down...until eventually you can see "replace". So far, I've been using it for a month, and really like it. I have three small kids--and do a ton of laundry. As this is summer, towels are on overload due to frequent trips to the pool. My bounce dryer bar is making sure that everything smells nice and clean. I think the ultimate decision maker on whether or not I buy this again will be the cost of the refills. So far, so good though... especially if you're too lazy to toss in a dryer sheet like me! My entire family has enjoyed having the softness and scent of Bounce-ified clothes this past month. It seems to be wearing well... I don't see myself having to replace it before 2-3 months have passed. All in all, a great convenience item.
