*UPDATE* The smell only lasted about one month (we do about one load a day) but towards the end you couldn't even smell the product on your clothes. Also, on some clothes, I noticed white marks. I'm going to go back to the dryer sheets until this product is improved.
I ALWAYS forget to put the dryer sheet in when I'm doing laundry. So this product is a lifesaver for me. I was a little worried at first about the product sticking to the inside of the dryer and if it would do as good of a job as dryer sheets.
I have only done about ten sets of laundry and so far so good, these work just well as the dryer sheets. My clothes smell exactly like they do when I use a dryer sheet. The bar hasn't fallen off the dryer drum either.
I recommend this product to anyone who forgets to use dryer sheets, it's more convenient.
I will update my review when the dryer bar runs out. I am keeping a tally to see how many loads of laundry it will last through.

Basically, this consists of a bar (it looks like soap) that is attached to the inside of your dryer via a plastic dispenser. When I saw it, I was hesistant to attach the dispenser to my dryer. It's rather plain and utilitarian in appearance. I was also worried about those small spots that look like oil which can sometimes transfer onto clothes with dryer sheets. We have been using this for about a month now and I can happily say, no spots! Also, my teenage son commented that he likes it since we don't run out of dryer sheets and he doesn't have to worry about adding one. The only drawback I can see is that if you decide you don't want to refill (we will), you are stuck with the plastic dispenser adhered to the inside of your dryer. I don't think it would cause a problem, but it isn't aesthetically pleasing. I am hoping that it's more environmentally friendly as well. Not sure since there is a plastic dispenser and I don't know about the process used to make the bar vs. dryer sheets.Customer Review: Ralph Waldo Emerson got it right!

I've been using Bounce in my dryer for years. It has a great, fresh scent with lots of staying power -- and it's not overpowering. How can it get any better?
The Bounce Dryer Bar gives you two months of that great scent and softness without the hassle of remembering to add the dryer sheets, or fishing them out of the dryer later. The idea that it lasts for so long is the tipping point that brings my already favorite laundry product into the realm of perfection for me!
Hey, it's not world peace -- but in my little laundry room corner of that world it's just about as close as it gets!
Buy it and be convinced!

The Bounce Dryer Bar is an interesting alternative to dryer sheets as fabric softeners. The main idea is that you stick the bar to the inside of your dryer and then your clothes pass by it, rubbing some off and then distributing it to the rest of the clothes. I was initially worried about it becoming concentrated on one article of clothing, but I didn't have that problem, mainly because I have a cool-down cycle on my dryer. I could see how if you took the clothes out hot or hot clothes stopped on top of the stick that more would get on that one piece of clothes. In general, it seemed to work fine in terms of reducing the amount of static in my laundry, but nothing competes with the liquid fabric softener in the wash. My main complaint about this product is that you have to stick it to the inside of your dryer. Removal is not easy.Customer Review: hmmm, not sure

Well, let me start off by saying i use dryer sheets all the time. This thing you have to attached to your dryer drum. It does make your clothes softer but here are the drawbacks. I cannot find the replacements anywhere in any store....so that is out. Also, a piece of this plastic thing broke off and embedded itself in my pajamas and made a little tear in them. Another thing is I usually let me clothes stay in the dryer for a bit, maybe a day or two. One time they were laying right on this thing and I got a real heavy smell. Even though it smelled good, I know some are sensitive to strong smells. I did try to take it off the drum and it's not easy to remove. We have to pry it off. The idea is good but somehow it just doesn't work. I am going to stick with my dryer sheets. It's just less work.
