Customer Review: Leaves spots all over clothes

This dryer bar does everything claimed by Bounce well. It's what goes unmentioned that is the major problem. The bar leaves spots all over ANY clothes with any heft to them at all. Mid/dark blue or black jeans? Forget it. Even if the spots did rub off, (they don't, they just smear--ever tried rubbing off a stray spot of deodorant?) there are so many of them that it would take an hour per article. So back through the washer. Same result on khakis--less noticable doesn't mean nonexistent here. Light colors / light clothes don't show it or don't rub off enough of it. On the other hand, I wouldn't recommend wearing those to a place with UV blacklights either!! Mine has now found its appropriate place in the trash can.Customer Review: Very handy, works well

I really like this - it works well, delivering the right amount of softness per load. I downgraded it by one star because there are certain loads where I DON'T want fabric softener (towels, etc.) and I have to remove the bar. It's a minor inconvenience, since it's fairly easy to remove.
I'd like to know the environmental aspects of this bar compared to using dryer sheets. This bar seems to be more environmentally-friendly. Does anyone know?

I purchased the Bounce Dryer Bar in December of 2009. I started itching severely all over. My legs and chest area were the worst and now I have scars on both areas! I used their dryer sheets for years with no problem so it did take me a while to realize where the itching was coming from. It was the worst 2-3 months of my life! The itching, rash, raised bumps and then scratching till you bleed was just horrible. Now I am left with nasty red scars all over my chest and legs.
When I contacted Bounce about the problem they said they would look in to it.
Then a few weeks later I received a letter from the people at Bounce. They decided to take care of the problem by sending my (2) coupons for CAT FOOD!

***Update October and it is still going but almost out- I am am surprised that mine has lasted for over 50.**** deserves 4 stars but will not let me change rating. this was great idea and my family loves it, since saves them time and worry. Just put in and forget for 22 loads. However,I do not really care for it. The first 5 or 6 loads it left my clothes feeling almost sticky. Matter of choice as to convience versus messy. So far, it's only been about a month and a half with the product and I've got to say that it's been working quite well. After all this time, things are still going quite well. I'm excited that they last as long as they do.
The only thing that I have noticed with the dryer balls is that they definitely smell a bit more strongly than the regular Bounce sheets. But considering that there's nothing worse than static cling or smell...
