GREAT razor. It never pinches or pulls hairs out like both Norelco rotary razors that I had. The replaceable cutting head makes it very cost effective. I used the first set daily for 3 years before a small defect appeared. Great close shaves, relatively quiet and fine battery performance even now after daily use for 3 years.Customer Review: made my braun 5441 thats 10yrs old work like new

finally a clean smooth shave. the top fits a little snug but thats comparing it to one thats been popped on and off a few hundred or thousand times. the old cap had a little give in it so i assume after this one is broken-in, it'll be the same. i couldn't be happier, smooth shave that costs much less than a new razor.Customer Review: Braun 5000 & 6000 series Flex Integral/XP foil & cutter set

The cutter and foil on the Braun 5000 work very well.
However,the life expectancy of these items can be short, particularly the foil. The foil will develop a crack or a break after a period of about six months and will have to be replaced as further use will cause cuts and abrasions to the shaved area.

There was no choice of color for the shaver screen trim. The one I replaced was black... the new one I got from Amazon was gray. It would have been nice to know what color I was getting, but that was not shown or selectable. Other than that cutter and foil are flawless, like all Braun shaving products.Customer Review: Replacement blade does the trick!

I have had my Braun shaver for at least 10 years. The manufacturer recommends replacing the cutter block every 18 months. Hogwash! It performed well up to the last month or two so I ordered this replacement from Amazon and am perfectly satisfied that I have another 5 years' life for this razor.
