The replacement foils only last a few weeks of normal service. When they go bad, you know it because of the gouges it takes out of your skin. The replacement foil for electric razor was hard to install but works fine once on. Three different people fiddled with it - trying to get it on before suddenly, it just seemed to click on. Who knows. Very frustrating. But the shaver works great with the new foil.Customer Review: Works perfectly

How the razor as a whole works would be in a different review. This foil/cutter replaces the old and makes it like new again. If you have the shaver you know the quality already. I did research and Amazon had the best price when I purchased it especially with the free shipping. I purchased this shaver to replace an older Braun shaver that I had for over 10 years. This 5885 is much faster, the foil seems to collect hairs much better and the charge lasts for several weeks. The only complaint is that the trimmer is awkward to use.
