This is the worst replacement I've ever purchased for a product I own. I have been a happy 8585 owner for years, with the razor and its replaceable parts provider the best shave I've ever had. This new horrible replacement block has torn up my face and made shaving a nightmare. I'm trying the 7000 replacement as advised here. Braun made a terrible mistake. I have had a Braun shaver for more than 10 years. This current model is my 3rd and I love it. The replacement foil and cutterblock keeps me looking good with a close shave for months into the future! And the automatic cleaning keeps it sharp and lubricated for flawless operation! The best part is there is no shaving cream or endless disposable razors and blades to put into the enviroment!Customer Review: Review

I ordered parts for my razor. They came, I installed them.
WHy didn't you ask for a review when I bought a book, through you,from an associated seller and never received it? I asked about it and you emailed me telling me it wasn't your problem, because someone else was selling the book. Never got the book or my money back.

This is NOT the Braun 8000FC as indicated by the picture and on the invoice (if you buy). This is Braun's replacement #51S and it SUCKS! The cutter blade design has changed and it does not shave anywhere near as clean as the older design. I'd purchased these hoping to get the original design but was shipped the 51S. Just know and understand what you'll be receiving if you choose to buy!Customer Review: Regular maintenance has kept his shaver going strong for years.

My husband has had this shaving system for a number of years. The investment required to keep his shaver going strong after years of daily use has been worthwhile. You will notice an immediate difference in your shave after you replace the foil and cutterblock. Braun makes a great shaver! If you buy a sophisticated tool, you should invest in its care so that you get full value out of it.
