I decided to purchase additional cleaning units for my Brown Pulsar shaver. I had bought the shaver at Amazon, so I came back to make this purchase. It took 11 days until I received my purchase, later than promised. It came USPS and was charged $ 10.- which is excessive.
I now did some research, and the price ( 23.50 for 1 unit = 4 containers)
is about 25% more than with other dealers. Do not purchase this cleaner thru the reccomended dealer

Thia ia not a review, but an observation of the peoploe who are trying to find a formula to cheat the cost of a refill.
First of all, read the label on the refill! It clearly states that it is denatured alcohol! That ia not rubbing alcohol...it is readily available at most hardware stores, but is far more expensive tthere than to buy these refills!
It's like buying a Hummer, and then complaining about gas prices! Must be democrats!

I have 3 Brauns and one face. The 8000 series are the Boss. The cleaning system needs a cheat. I am a backyard chemist and the isopropyl cheat is not the thing, the silicone and the lemon will separate.
By smell it is methanol (lavatol) and some ionic oil (ChOh soluble oil) and a chemical marker.
I need a chemist to do a IR or a Mass Spec on the liquid and email me or tell me what the peeks are.

While the cleaner and the current Braun cleaning system work well, it is certainly not necessary to return the shaving head to the cleaning-cycle reservioir after every shave. If one is used to a regular quick brush out as in the older conventional shaving procedure, thorough cleaning with the cleaner need be done only after every two-three shaves. It's a good product, but cleaner cost will be very expensive if used daily after each shave.Customer Review: I'm so happy I found these

I had looked all over town and out of town for these refills for the Razor my wife purchased me for my birthday. I'd had no luck anywhere, it seems you can buy the Razor but not the refills anywhere. Then I tried ordering from Wal-mart.com and Walgreens.com but they both wouldn't or couldn't ship after I had ordered.
Finally Amazon came to the rescue and I am delighted to finally be able to clean my razor again.
