My husband has had this shaving system for a number of years. In our opinion, the clean & renew refills are worth the investment as his shaver is still going strong after years of daily use. If you buy a sophisticated tool, you should invest in its care so that you get value out of it. I wonder why there seems to be such a premium for shaving related goods (even razors and their refills)?Customer Review: Cleans great and (relatively) good price.

It's still just expensive, scented and lubricated alcohol. But there's no other good alternative to get a good daily clean on your razor. It's worth it to have it cleaned.
