Braun CCR3 Syncro Shaver System Clean & Renew Refills (3 Refills)
I bought my husband the Braun Shaver System about a year ago. He shaves every night so by that I would say he likes it. His face is always smooth when he comes to bed and never gives me a brush from whiskers. He had tried electric shavers before, but always had problems with his sensitive skin.
We get the refills from amazon as that is the best price we have found.

The clean and renew system works very well, at least for the shaver part of the razor. It does not remove longer hairs from the trimmer. It does seem to keep the blades sharper for a longer period of time, and to improve the "feel" of the shave. Each refill appears to last about a month, and the system seems to sense the total time the shaver is used and adjust the length of the cleaning. About once a week the system does a "heavy" cleaning. The system obviously has a "cost" associated with the refills, but overall, it seems to be worthwhile.Customer Review: Refills at a Good Price

This is the OEM cleaner refill for Braun shaver systems. I have a Braun 8985. Like the foil/cutter replacement; it can be difficult to find the cleaner refills. This one is a good bargain especially since you get 3 of them. They last quite a bit of time; but it's good to have fresh refill on hand. Since they are OEM, it works great cleaning out the shaver and giving it a fresh, clean scent. Remember, when you remove the top of the new refill, use the top to insert on the old refill; otherwise, you'll have a gloppy mess in your trash can.Customer Review: Re-fill with denatured alcohol instead

I've kept my Braun shaver running clean for 2 years and I've NEVER bought refill cartridges. Why? Because the cleaning fluid is nothing but blue-dyed denatured alcohol that you can get for 4 dollars a QUART at a hardware store or Wal-Mart. I've bought one can so far. Dump your dirty cartridge and rinse with water a few times, refill with denatured alcohol. They probably tell you not to refill because the stuff's flammable and it eats up a big chunk of their business if you're not buying cartridges. I have been using this now for about 7 years and it is great. First it keeps the razor clean and lubricated, so it never gets that bogged down feel or sound, second it has a nice fresh scent not the old stale cut hair smell that electric razors tend to pick up after periods of use. It is my perception, I don't know if it is an actual fact that my blades tend to last longer before I need to replace them. I love these cartridges, mine also last longer than the product description often not having to change them but every 2-3 months.
