I have had this shaver for a week. I am a life long blade user. I have tried a lot of electric shavers over the years. Generally I got the best overall shaves from the Norelco, but the heads didn't last as long as I thought they should have (2 to 3 months) and replacements were expensive.
I get a better shave from this shaver than the Norelco. I get a shave about 95% as close as a blade, with no skin irritation. By late evening my stubble is a little "rougher" than with a blade, but still no need to shave again before going out for the evening. The reviews I have read suggest that the key to success is NO PRESSURE. That is very true.
One big advantage that I can see is that when the screen finally wears out, buying a new shaver will still be MUCH cheaper than buying new shaver heads for any of the other electric shavers I've had.
So... after a little more than one week of use, I'm a very happy camper with this thing. So far, no negatives at all. It's quiet, comfortable to hold, shaves close and clean with no skin irritation, and is still running full speed on the included batteries, and... the slide out trimmer works perfectly. What else could you want in a shaver???
UPDATE: I have been using this shaver for 6 weeks. I love it more than ever. I get a fast, close shave with absolutely no skin irritation. In order to get around the AA only Battery operation, I bought a Braun 150 (rechargeable) which was "suppose" to have the same screen (the screen is the secret to this shavers success... honest)as the M90, because I wanted a rechargeable shaver as opposed to one which is 100% battery. I received the shaver two weeks ago. The screen is NOT the same as the M90. The 150 does a fair job, but not nearly as good as the M90, and takes a lot longer to get the job done. Nothing against the 150 as it does a satisfactory job, but even with the AA Battery problem, the M90 is hands down, a MUCH better shaver. Still the best I have ever used. My blade razor is now in permanent moth balls.
