I read reviews from other breathalyzers and there is one thing in common: They all need to be recalibrated after 6 months. I have no idea how to recalibrate, nor do I really know if it needs recalibrating. So, it appears, any device you buy is really only guaranteed for six months. This little guy does the trick and it's half the price and 1/4 the size. Anyway, it works for me and I am happy with the purchase.Customer Review: Breathkey is great

I have been using the breathkey for awhile and like it for its size and relative accuracy. It may be a little on the low side, but it's close enough to know if you should drive or stop drinking. The highest anyone has been so far is .15 and I haven't been over .05. Main thing is to blow very steady and looooong the first time - or there is a delay after the display says blow long.Customer Review: daughter told me years later, it didn't work

My daughter is now a junior in college and I purchased this when she was a senior in high school and used it on a number of occasions and it didn't register alcohol at all. Once she was in college, she told me she had been drinking on those occasions in high school when it didn't register she had been drinking. I would not count on this being reliable for monitoring your teens.Customer Review: USE ON TEENAGERS!

I ORIGINALLY GOT THIS PRODUCT FOR MYSELF TO MAKE SURE I WAS SAFE. BUT I SOON REALIZED I COULD USE IT TO TEST MY TEENAGERS WHEN THEY COME HOME ON THE WEEKENDS IF I HAVE ANY DOUBTS ABOUT WHETHER OR NOT THEY HAVE BEEN DRINKING. THEY DON'T PARTICULARLY LIKE THE IDEA, BUT HAVE BECOME USED TO BLOWING IN THE BREATHKEY AND UNDERSTAND WHY. I SLEEP SO MUCH BETTER NOW!!!Customer Review: Disapointed

I purchased this breathalyzer because I liked the size and price. I wanted to see what my ABL were in the morning the night after drinking. I seemed to work fine until I desided to "test" it and use it right after taking a drink. When the numbers read 0.00 I knew something was wrong. I think I will have to spend more money and get something more substantual.
