After reading all the reviews, I couldn't wait to receive my Buf-Puf (I bought 1 Regular to try). Since December 09, I've been having really bad acne breakouts and my Dermatologist says she has given me the highest strength medication she can (Retin A, PanOxyl, Stiemycin and Solugel, as well as using Aveeno face wash and moisturizers with salicylic acid)...only other option is Roaccutane, which I refuse to take or more oral antibiotics. My face just looked aweful (I have combination oily skin as well as eczema). Then I read about Buf-Puf and read all the reviews and decided to try it. The first evening I used it (Saturday night), I could not believe how much clearer my face looked and felt...I could see the flakes from the dead skin on the puff. Unfortunately though, I think I may have scrubbed a little too hard (although I really tried to be gentle), because my face felt quite irritated and sensitive afterwards. I used it with regular Pears soap as I have stopped using the Aveeno wash and moisturizer with salicylic acid, as I felt I was using too many acne products at the same time (although my Dermatologist says its Ok). I could not even use my acne medication because it really burned, and had to cut a bit of Aloe and wipe the gel on my face and leave over-night to try and soothe.
I used it again Sunday night and face was still quite sensitive (I think I got a few abrasions) so I have not been using my acne medication...and used a little Olive Oil to moisturise. I noticed only a couple new breakouts, but it's not as bad. I'll probably use the Buf Puf every two (2) days, because it's a little too rough. If your skin is sensitive and acne-prone you may want to try the "Gentle" instead (the 6 pack with free shipping), which is what I'll order when this gets old.
As someone said, using the Puf really makes your skin feel like you just had an expensive facial, and while it's a bit costly to ship, I feel it's worth it...it's just what I need..a good exfoliator to prevent the whiteheads and blackheads from forming...it certainly can't hurt.
