I am the one who will get eatten alive if mosquitos are anywhere around. I used to use these when I camped a lot, but couldn't find them at my local camping store. Heading for Malaysia at this time of year, I was afraid I was going to have to slather myself with some DEET spray. Somehow while I was looking for a product called 'After Bite', these came up. I couldn't believe it! I was so excited to see them in different colors, rather than the army green I used to buy. I wore 1 on my wrist and 1 on my ankle the whole time I was in Malaysia and Singapore and never even saw a flying bug come near me. My friend got bite! I color coordinated them daily with my outfits. No one questioned it, they thought I was wearing some kind of band for a charity cause.
Highly recommend, especially for kids. Water resistant too.

I ordered this only because of the reviews I read, but I was still very sceptical.
The family and I were headed to bayou country in lousiana. After 5 days, the only ones that got bit
(and they got bit a lot!) were the ones without the bugband! I had the 3m super strength bug cream in case i needed it, but so far the bands have out preformed anything i could have dreamed up for an easy but good method of mosquito prevention!
Super Easy, no Harsh Chemicals!
Totally worth the price, I am ordering more!!!
Customer Review: How do you know when it's lost its effectiveness?

Not sure if these work on their own, since we use them as another layer of protection in addition to bug spray. But I wonder, just how do you know when they've lost their effectiveness and it's time to use new ones? The product is supposed to last up to 120 hours, but I don't keep a log of how long the kids wear them each time. I keep them sealed in a ziploc bag when we're not using them. Do I have to wait until they get bitten to know the bands need to be thrown out?Customer Review: It actually works!

I must say I was skeptical, especially in our wooded area of Wisconsin where mosquitoes should be the state bird. But, my kids have been wearing these bands for a week now, and they work! Sure, they have a few bites (the product isn't 100% effective, but would you really expect it to be?!), but they also had bites when I applied deet to them so I prefer this non toxic solution.Customer Review: These actually work!

Our 2 year old daughter was getting eaten alive and I mean she has scars she had so many bites. We found these and didn't have to spray her just so she could go out and play for 15 minutes. They are a great alternative to sprays. We placed it on her ankle since she was getting bitten on her legs the most. Haven't had a bite since. I am not sure how it works for adults though.
