Customer Review: Good stuff, strong banana smell

Ok, this stuff is saving my skin from the dry winter air already. The fragrance is strong banana scent so it might give you a headache. Think of the old gum-numbing goo that the dentist would use on your gums before he gave you a shot of novacaine - that's what it reminds me of. But I slather it on my feet and hands and face before bed every night and it is keeping my skin soft and moisturized. And the bonus is if my dog decides to lick my hands/feet/face while I sleep I don't have to worry about it because it's a non-toxic product. Fortunately he hasn't done this, the scent may be too strong to be appealing to dogs.
I'm also using the Burt's shea butter hand creme and coconut foot creme for day-time hydration.

My husband has a skin condition on his hands which causes costant redness, peeling and cracking. We've tried everything natural and holistic (even oral Flax oil) and nothing seemed to work with any dependability for very long. I had a sample jar of the Beesway Hand Creme in a sample package and rubbed it on his hands one night to see what it would do. He continued doing this for 2 nights and on the third day proclaimed "this stuff works!" His hands were softer, the cracking had stopped and it appears like his hands are healing. I bought him some cotton gloves to wear at night to see if would help the creme penetrate even further. Anyhow take it from us THIS STUFF WORKS. I have sensitive skin, with skin allergies causing a reaction to most detergents (dish detergents, laundry detergents, etc.) My hands even break out when exposed to potato starch from peeling potatoes! I avoid contact with these items, but when I do come in contact with something I am allergic to, my skin breaks out with small blisters and leaves scaly, rough skin. This hand creme noticeably softens my skin within minutes, and it works better than all of the other lotions I have tried. It has a pleasant (although somewhat strong) almond scent, which I find much more pleasing than flowery scents. It is not greasy and does not leave any residue after soaking into the skin.Customer Review: One of the few creams that does not cause an alergic reaction for me!

I work in a daycare and am constantly washing my hands, as well as the children's hands several times per day. In the winter my skin soon becomes dry and cracked.
Since a young age I have suffered from very sensitive skin. Most lotions cause terrible reactions on my hands including swelling, intense itching, hives, redness with slight pain to the touch, welts and rashes. I tried this product and had no such reaction.
As far as the consistency of the product, I did not find it greasy. It is thicker than other hand lotions, but I had no trouble rubbing it in. I actually liked the thicker consistency of the product.

I read about Burt's Bee products and thought, what the heck, I will give them a try. They seem all natural, but I was concerned about the "smell" or perfume factor (asthma sufferer). WOW! This hand balm-like cream is fantastic. It does have an almond scent, but not too overwhelming and definetly not chemical-like like other drug store lotions. Just rub the hand creme on and your skin is instantly smoother. I put it on every night before bed. It has made an improvement in the little lines on my fingers and on my hands (you can really tell someones age when you look at their hands!). Just buy this, you won't regret it.
