This flat iron has served me very well. I bought it to replace a cheaper one that I had, which broke. I've had this one for a couple years already and it works very well. I love that the temperature is adjustable since my hair is very fine in addition to being a combination of very wavy and curly. I have found that if I use it too often, as with any heat product, my hair has a tendency to dry out, but I bought a silk infused gel, also made by Chi, which works very well to protect my hair and make it look more like naturally straight hair instead of curly hair that was straightened and looks sizzled on the ends. I could get my hair straight with blowdrying and a cheaper straightener, but as soon as I went outside it would frizz up. With this my hair is shiny, straight, and anti frizzy all day long, even on rainy days. I never thought I could have hair that looked like this.
My stylist told me to apply a skinny serum or some sort of heat serum to my hair while it is still wet, then dry completely. Either air dry or blow dry, but make sure that it is 100% dry. After that just section off and straighten. The smaller sections you do, the better. And it works, its perfect everytime and my hair looks soo healthy.

I bought this flat iron to replace a 2" flat iron. I thought I woud try the smaller size iron to see if it offered more flexibility in styling. It is easy to style the ends of your hair. It flattens like a charm. It has a heavy duty cord that swivels - it still tangles a bit, but not much.
My only complaint is that it does not have an automatic shut off. (So, be sure not to forget to turn it off!!) For an iron that gets so hot, I would think this would be a required feature.
If you want to straighten your hair, this iron will work splendidly. You won't be disappointed! (Just be sure that you turn it off! :) )

I purchased my Chi hair iron from ULTA last year. I have been very impressed with the results it has provided me thus far. I have very curly hair, and it only takes me about 10 minutes to make my hair stick straight with this product. I highly recommend that anyone in the market for a hair straightened purchase this on from Chi; although it is kind of expensive, it is worth the cost because it will last a long time with continuous good results. I used to buy cheaper strengtheners, but I would end up having to replace them more often, so investing in the Chi was a great money saver in the end!

oh my god! i can't even begin to explain how amazing this product is! it made my hair so much healthier, shinier, softer, silkier, everything! i dont know how i lived without it! everyone noticed and thought i had gotten my hair done at the salon! i can curl, straighten, flip, wave, do anything to my hair and all in record timing! this is DEFINITELY worth the money! it is easy and quick to use and makes any hair perfect! i have tried it on 4 of my friends, 1 of them with the most damaged hair i've ever seen, and every single one of them has now bought one for themself, no joke!
