Customer Reviews of CLIF kid ZBaR 24 Bar Variety PackCustomer Review: Healthy, delicious ... and handy! Summary: 5 Stars
As a naturopath, I must live what I preach. "Eat organic whenever possible" is one of those lessons. As a distance runner, I also know that it is important to have nutrition on the go. For me, gus and gels full of chemicals just weren't going to cut it. I carry as many of the KidZBars as I can, and keep a couple in reserve when I get back from running. I can feel good knowing that I'm getting organic nutrition ... and they taste darn good, too!
I'm just confused as to why they labeled them "kids". These are great snacks for anyone, anytime. I don't have any kids myself, but I do have friends kids to hang around sometimes ... and some of them won't touch anything that says "organic", no matter how yummy it looks or tastes. Of course, if they see me eating them, that's the kiss of death, as I won't eat anything that is inherently "bad" for me.
It's great they have this in a variety pack ... now if there were just a little more variety! It would also be wonderful if CLIF would come up with a salty snack bar as well.... to satisfy that salt craving one gets while running or working out.
Customer Review: Clif Kid's ZBar Review Summary: 5 Stars
These are really tasty bars. I don't have any children, I buy these for myself. They are healthy and chewy and work as a great replacement for a higher calorie, less nutritious candy bar or cookie. They are similar in texture to chewy cookies. At 140 calories for the peanut butter flavor (highest calorie flavor)and perfectly purse-sized, they are easily carried around with you so you are able to avoid unhealthy alternatives you could get at the c-store or impulse area of the grocery store. They have the "stay in your belly" for the perfect mid-morning or before bedtime snack. They fit well into a healthy (and calorie-conscious)diet, being made whole oats and organic ingredients. They are a snack you can feel good about eating.CLIF Kid ZBaR, Variety Pack of Peanut Butter, Chocolate Brownie, and Chocolate Chip, 1.27-Ounce Bars (Pack of 48)
Customer Review: Healthy, loved and a good value... Summary: 5 Stars
I guess the most important thing to start with is - my kids LOVE Z-Bars. They were introduced to these early and as far as they know, this is what granola/snack bars are. They find other, more sugar-laden, bars a little too much. I was pleasantly surprised to find this and am more than happy to ply them with this healthier alternative.
These are a great tasty snack and pretty portable. They only suffer in the hot weather when they get a melty. Otherwise, they hold the kids over from 10AM to lunch on most days. Also, the 140 calories makes them a nice snack for adults too when you're not up for a 200+ calorie bar.
I guess it's important to note the price as well. The value is great (especially if you subscribe) for a this amount of bars.
But, I repeat, the kids LOVE them - 5-stars!
Customer Review: NOT AS GOOD AS ALL THE HYPE Summary: 2 Stars
Boy, this is the first time I've ever been disappointed in reviews by amazon customers. I was so excited to get these nutritious bars, I made the mistake of ordering 4 boxes. Basically all 4 of my kids have turned their noses up on every variety of these bars. My children are not picky eaters either. They love all their fruits and veggies including broccoli and asparagus and I thought these would be well received, they were not. I decided to try a little of each variety and unless I'm absolutely starving, they are not very good. The only thing in this world I will not eat is sushi and liver, so I'm certainly not picky either. Don't make the same mistake I made. Go to Walmart first and try a bar for $.80 before buying stock in them like me :-)
Customer Review: my son is soooo picky.....but loves those Summary: 5 Stars
my son has been a super picky eater, for all his life, and after moving to the states from europe, we were looking for healthy options for him.
well, what a awakeining after finding that almost everythoing, including the healthy stuff has hydrogenated oils in them!!!horrible, it is banned in europe.
so i buy almost everything organic now, and to my suprise my son loves the chocolate brownie ones.
thank god, he didnt care about the chocolate chip so much, but my husband loves the peanut butter one too.
another thing my son loves is the fruit ropes from clif.
since he doesent eat fruit or veggis, this is great since they have a full serving of fruit per one friut rope.
