Received the fan in a timely order and well packed. Fan was much smaller than I expected and as result I feel moves less air around then anticipated. Seems very fragile...if it ever got accidently knocked over I think that would be the end of the fan blades. It works and the concept of free energy is the only real thing keeping me happy about it, but it'll that years to pay for...oh well lesson learned.Customer Review: Excellent seller and item!

This fan is even better than I'd hoped! It does exactly what it promised (pushes hot air upwards & disperses throughout the room) and is very cool in concept & to watch. My wood stove has a large heavy flat top which is separated by an airspace from the fire box. A squirrel cage fan moves air around the firebox to disperse the heat. I bought this fan thinking it would help air ciculation in the event of power failure, but I was worried that the top would not be hot enough to make it work well. Now that the cold is here, I have found that the fan works great, although no outages yet. One surprise bnefit is that I can tell how hot my stove is burning from a distance by noting how fast the fan is turning. The thermometer on the flu requires close-up inspection to read. I have a wood stove with a broken blower in a room with cathedral ceilings. I was looking for an alternative to a new blower and I found it. This item arrived the day before we need to run the stove for extra heat. Usually the heat from the stove warms the upstairs and the downstairs stays chilly. This fan went right to work moving the air straight instead of up. It was a chilly day and we kept wood on the fire, sometimes it went above the recommended heat but still performed well. I have owned this fan for three years and it works perfectly. When the stove temperature gets above 100F degrees it automatically begins working. The hotter the stove, the faster the fan spins. The technology which converts heat to electrical energy is fascinating. No power cords or batteries. Great fun and practical to send warm air into the room.
