I received my CalPal and was disappointed by the whole set up. I thought that the book was interesting and I believe in what the author was talking about but this gadget is no better then a calculator. You are adding calories then subtracting calories and I can do that with my own calculator and not pay the $24 with shipping and handling costs. You have to look up everything you eat to get the calorie count & exercise count and if you are going to do that then you can write it down in a food log & go back at the end of your day and use your own calculator.
My CalPal was suppose to be a new one but when I opened it up the battery was already working & a number was already entered. I sent an email to the seller, The Ink Link and told them that I thought it was a used one & that I ordered a new one and wanted a refund. I got an answer right away from them saying that I could either return it & get a refund or have another sent out. They said that they check their inventory very closely and apologized for this one not being new.
I'm impressed by their quick response and sending me a label to return the product and refunding my request before I have sent them the product back. I have no problems with this seller and would buy another product from them in the future.
