Customer Review: Make counting calories a breeze
Summary: 5 Stars

I had previously been counting calories off and on with the help of a few calorie counting websites. This was difficult to stick with because if I was away from my home it was impossible to really have the discipline to keep track. I'd advise those to go and purchase the Calorie King book also. The book included with the calpal has very little info data on calories in food. With this Calpal and the pocket sized Calorie King book I"m always prepared. Both are very small and discrete and it doesn't have to be a show that you are watching your food intake. I went to visit family for a week and was never approached or even noticed on my calorie counting. Yes I was quiet on this and did not enter in my numbers unless alone - but I was so impressed that I was able to "vacation" and yet stay on track. Definitely a good choice. Plus on a added note I accidentally washed my Calpal for 10 minutes in the washer. Freaked out when the screen was blank but I followed the advice from a geek website in using Rubbing alcohol to displace the water and it worked! So be sure to look up this information just in case you accidently submerge yours in water.

Customer Review: Very Convenient
Summary: 5 Stars

At first I thought this little gadget had a database with a lot of different foods and that it would list the calorie content of all of the foods. I thought it would also track my calories. I was right about tracking the calories, but not about it having a database. Instead it came with a book which listed the calorie content in common foods. The book is ok, but I like to figure out calories with [...]. I was disappointed at first when I found out I would have to figure out the calorie content of my foods on my own, but after a week of using it, I love it!! I've already lost three pounds! It really helps me to keep track of my calorie consumption and burning. I would recommend it to anyone who wants to lose weight. Just be careful not to go too low on your calories and eat healthy foods...they have less calories anyway!!

Customer Review: Reality has sunk in!
Summary: 5 Stars

This little gadget makes it so easy to keep your calories. I never could remember to log into the website at home or pull the book out to write it down but now I just have this with me all the time. It is small but beware because it does make reality sink in on just how many calories you are eating. Like I would sit down and eat a bunch of strawberries healthy right? Well 2 strawberries are 50 calories and that brings your calories down quick!! I have done great with this little device. You take the calories off that you eat and you can add on the ones that you burn exercising so it is easy to see how many you have left at the end of the day.

Customer Review: Life-Changer!
Summary: 5 Stars

This simple device completely changed my life. I have already lost 10 pounds and it was easy....and fun! I enjoyed keeping track of my numbers each day, KNOWING I was losing weight. I have been on diets before where I would work at it and not really know how I was doing. This tells me my result every day!

And, just the fact that it makes me stop and think about what I was eating before I did, makes maintaining my new weight-loss easy!

I am so glad I found Cal Pal. I recommend it to anyone trying to lose weight.

Customer Review: Cheap Product: Falling Apart and Doesn't Work
Summary: 1 Stars

I just got this product in the mail. The first problem I noticed is the toggle switch is completely loose and floating free in the housing. The second problem is that it simply doesn't work. Further, it comes with absolutely no instructions for the customer to troubleshoot. Aside from all that and even if the product worked, this is such a cheaply made product that it clearly will not last. Even if I accept that I got a bad item, I have to say after handling it for fifteen minutes that it is overpriced by about twenty dollars.
