I rarely write Amazon reviews but I felt extremely compelled to share my "success story" with others to spread the good word about this product. I, like so many other reviewers of Certain Dri suffer from extreme underarm wetness. And, while I've never been officially diagnosed with axillary hyperhidrosis (excessive sweating of the underarms), I have nevertheless suffered for years. I attest that the main difference between this product and so many, many other over-the-counter products is its main ingredient (12% aluminum chloride). Nearly everything else on the market uses aluminum zirconium, which cuts it for the mainstream of users, but simply does not for those who suffer from excessive sweating. For years, I'd try varying amounts of aluminum zirconium (the brand makes no difference, chemicals are chemicals) and thought that the top of the line, Mitchum, with it's whopping 20% of the active ingredient would suffice. Nope. You need aluminum chloride. Now, to be fair, perhaps applying aluminum zirconium at bed time (as is directed by Certain Dri) would bring about the same/similar results? Perhaps not? Either way, this stuff really does work, and I'm sticking with it.Customer Review: Simply Outstanding

Talk about a life changing product. I've only had it for two days, but the results are just incredible, that I didn't want to wait to talk about it. I only sweated excessively under one arm, and man was it excessive. Numerous shirts have been thrown away, and some I still use because I don't want to buy new work shirts! When it came in the mail, I had no idea what kind of effect this was going to have on me. At night, I applied it, and it certainly didn't feel like anything was being applied, so you can imagine my face when I thought I bought a useless product. Continuing without any rash/pain whatsoever , I woke up, put on my work clothes and went to work. Through-out the day I used my normal procedures to try to keep the sweat limited (swaying of the arm, keeping it away from my side, etc.) When I got off work, not only did I have no stain on my work shirt, but my undershirt had absolutely no signs of sweat, either. This is truly a miracle product for me, what it has done for me I will never really be able to put to words simply because I'm so self conscious. What's next? As a 21 year-old college student, I couldn't believe I was having problems with excessive underarm perspiration. Regardless of the weather or how warm I was, I dealt with at least 5 days a week of underarm wetness. Sometimes it was so bad that I would sweat through a t-shirt AND sweatshirt. I tried this product as a last resort before going to my doctor and it works amazingly. I have not had a single day of wet underarms since I began using it. NOT ONE! I even occasionally forget to put it on at night as directed, and I don't have problems the next day. I've made it three consecutive days without application without problem!
The only negative thing about this product is that I do note some irritation under my arms. I've found this is best limited if applying very sparingly. If your underarms are uncommonly sensitive, you may not want to use this product. Otherwise -- get this immediately! I have found it at my local Wal-Mart (I don't support buying stuff at wal-mart unless necessary...but I assume this means it can be found elsewhere just as easily) so there is no need to purchase it online and pay for shipping.

I can't emphasize enough how much I LOVE Certain Dri! I did not even know that this kind of product existed at all until someone recommended it. I still was skeptic until I tried it; it only costs $[...] I was willing to pay much much more.
I have been using it over a year now and would recommend to anyone who has perspiration problem. Everyone in my family using it now including my husband who has a very sensitive skin and my daughter who is 12 years old and going through puberty.
I work in the office and you have to dress up every day. I was always embarrassed to take off my suit because they could see huge wet spots......Not anymore. Try it you have nothing to lose but 6 dollars.
Some tips to new users: use very little (1-2 stroke) before you go to bed. If you worry that it does not dry fast and you want to put t-shirt on right away then use hair dryer for couple of seconds. I used to use every other day and now a year later only once a week, it last pretty long. And don't be discouraged if it burns or itches. It definitely worth it!!!

For the last several years, I've tried every antiperspirant available, and pretty much given up. I was paranoid about raising my arms, and my wardrobe slowly became one of black and navy blue shirts, so that the wetness would be less visible. If I had to wear a dress shirt, I'd look everywhere to find a shirt that I could wear underneath, no matter how hot it was outside, so that there wouldn't be marks. Then I tried Certain Dri, and it's amazing. Although it does cause some itching and discomfort if you use it to quickly after shaving, as well as the first week or so of use, it's well worth it to be able to wear colors for the first time in YEARS. I don't have to worry at all about wearing anything.
My only criticism is that you probably need to wear a deodorant anyway, since the product seems to aggravate underarm odor, with which I'd never before had a problem.
Beyond that minor annoyance, it's an amazing product, and I recommend it to anyone for whom Secret Platinum, Arm & Hammer, Sure, Degree, Dove, Lady Speedstick, Arrid and any other antiperspirant on the market have done nothing!
