I never bother posting reviews online because i usually dont care. this item changed my life. im 20 years old im good looking and athletic. My only problem was sweating under my armpits. It could be cold and i wont be doing anything and i would still sweat. I used to wear a shirt underneath a shirt and that did not work, the sweat would just go through it within 30 minutes. I tried everything from stuffing napkins between my armpits to wearing dark clothing, nothing worked. So last night was the first night i got used it. At first when i applied it i realy did not think it was going to work so i put 7 strokes under each armpit instead of 2 it said. WOW it stung so bad and itched i could not fall asleep, this is what i get for not following directions (and i got a rash), i did not sweat a drop the whole day. THis is the only thing that worked other deoderents like Mitchum which says you can skip a day did not even work for an hour ( and it is the strongest deoderent out there so other ones such as old spice and aarid did not work at all). The reason i gave it four stars and not 5 is because it does sting and gives a rash and it is not effective for 72 hours but for the whole day. REGARDLESS THIS PRODUCT IS AMAZING I NEVER THOUGHT ANYTHING COULD WORK, I CANT BELIEVE I DID NOT USE IT EARLIER.Customer Review: Awesome, but beware "compensatory" sweating??

I've used this product for a few years now. I must stress that it has worked very well, though I suffered the burning and itching of the typical new user from (a) putting too much on, and (b) putting it on right after showering and shaving the underarms. I quickly figured out that that little protective layer of skin oils helped my underarms not feel like ground zero of a nuclear blast. My underarms are sooo much drier than they have EVER been. Due to some medications and probably my coffee junkie habit, unfortunately I sweat more now in my 40s than I ever have. I also work out regularly and frankly, it is appalling the sweating I do. My clothing is completely soaked, always, after a one-hour aerobics/strength-training class.
So here's the thing - anyone else notice increased sweating in other areas, after significant reduction in underarm sweating? Particularly on my chest and ribs. Ugh! I'm wondering if soon I'll be taking nice little full-body dips in Certain-Dri. I've been applying it to where I think the sweating is coming from but it's not working as well thus far. Oh well, keep on keepin' on - still, I'm grateful for this fine product and what it has done for my "pits of drenching doom."
Also, has anyone compared this product with Drysol?

I'm a 21 year old guy who's been struggling with excessive sweating for quite some time now. For the past few years I've had issues, and it feels like it's only gotten progressively worse. I'd sit in air conditioning at an office job in front of a computer (no major stress), and I'd sweat through an undershirt and polo. No, sweating is not that big of a life issue, but that added bit of insecurity starts to nag.
I'd tried regular deodorant, anti-antiperspirant, prescription strength (over the counter) deodorant/antiperspirant, no deodorant, various combinations of the previous, and even woman's deodorant... all to no avail. A friend saw my shnasty pits one night and demanded I go try Certain Dri. I was a bit skeptical, but I gave it a go. It looks to be working pretty well so far. It hasn't proved to be a MIRACLE worker like some say... as I still sweat a little bit. It's a huge improvement though.
Had two "stressful" situations (interviews) in which Certain Dri didn't do a whole lot. From some stories I heard, it can take a few weeks before it's as effective as it should be. Time will tell. Definitely wish I would have known about this earlier. One of the better $7 I've spent.
You should be able to find this at your local CVS or even WalMart.

Well first of all im really 16, and ive been sweaty for as long as i can remember. like, i would wear a shirt and in 10 minutes i would already have small sweat stains forming. i mean, the problem wasn't out of control, first of all, my sweat never smelled, it just seemed like water i guess, and i didn't get big sweat stains but it was annoying the fact that anything i wore i wouldn't be able to lift my arms up and i would always have my arms pasted to my sides, and not only the embarrasment, but always being sweaty is extremely ANNOYING! so decided to give this a shot so two nights ago i used it for the first time, and i was drier than i had been in a while, but i wasn't completely dry, so since the instructions say you can use it everyday until you get the result you want, i used it yesterday again, and once again, the sweating got reduced, but tiny sweat stains are still visible, so tonight i am going to wear it again and hope to be completely dry tommorow. the reason i gave this product 5 stars instead of 4 even though my results aren't complete yet is b/c i havent expiereinced any of the iching/stinging other customers have, so i find it very easy to use and i am very fond of this product, thank god there are scientists out there with problems as well!Customer Review: it's not all you think it will be

B4 you buy this here are some things you need to know:
1. you can only apply this before you go to bed
2. you should wash it off when you wake up in the morning, so if you bathe at night, your routine needs to change
3. under no circumstances should you scratch your underarm area after you apply this product and before you wash it off
4. you will still need a deodarant and/or antiperspirant
My experiences using this:
It took about two to three nights to start working. I noticed I no longer had stains after being active. One night I put it on and expereinced extreme itching under one arm. I scratched, which I shouldn't have, and my results for that arm have all been downhill since then.
About three days later I noticed a lump under the arm I scratched. I thought it was a cyst and quit using certain dri. The lump went away, then I resumed using certain dri. The results for that arm were halved. And certain dri is not worth the money for that arm.
But for my other arm, certain dri has truly worked wonders.
Follow the instructions to a T and do not disregard any of them. This is a great product, but I am looking for something else since it no longer works for the arm I scratched
