Customer Reviews of Certain Dri Anti-Perspirant, Roll-On, Prescription Strength, 1.2 oz.Customer Review: Just as good as Maxim Summary: 5 Stars
I've been using Maxim deoderant for about two years now, and the time had arrived to buy a new bottle. I looked on Amazon to see if they sold Maxim at a cheaper price but found Certain Dri instead. I was a little hesitant just because I remember what it was like to have huge sweat marks under my arms all the time and don't want to return to that sort of life. But I gave it a shot and in the few weeks since I started using the new deoderant, I have noticed no difference. However, I only needed to use Maxim once a week in the winter and twice a week in the summer, and I have been using Certain Dri every three days since it only claims 72-hour protection. I'm hoping that I can shift back to using it less frequently. Oh, and I have had no itching. I had incredibly bad itching problems with Maxim before I started using it only once a week, so if you use this product and experience itching, I suggest using it less frequently.
Edited: I actually stopped using this product because it stopped working for me. I went back to Maxim. But since Maxim didn't work too well either and it works fine now, I think it was because I was pregnant that Certain Dri stopped working. I'm not sure whether it's worth giving another shot or not.
Customer Review: No more Embaressing underarm sweat !!! Summary: 5 Stars
Pros: Everything!!!
Cons: Itches a little bit but compared to the PRO's it not even a hinderance!!!!
This is my first and probably only review i have written, BUT THIS PRODUCT DESERVES IT !!!!!
I was always embarressed of my excessive underarm sweat, always worring about raising my hand, or meeting people. I would sweat 2 minutes after putting on a shirt, even with the A/C on at 75 F !!! I hated it. I tried MANY other products such as, Degree Clinical Strength Anti-perspirant, and any other with at least 20% Aluminum Zirconium tetrachlorohydrex, but none worked. I researched a little and came to a page with recommendations, again they recommended the degree clinical strength, but a paragraph later it read that Certain Dri used something diffrent (Aluminum Chloride) and consumers expressed alot of satisfaction with it (save for the itching) so i bought it!!!!! I tried it on yesterday, before bedtime and throughout today NOT A SINGLE SIGN OF UNDERARM SWEAT!!!!!!! (Allelujah sings in the background) Even under the sun or my HOT car, going to my classroom with my bookbag tight around my armpits NO SWEAT!!!!!!! If you want to stop exessive under arm sweat BUY THIS PRODUCT!!!
Customer Review: I Can't Believe It! Summary: 5 Stars
I am a skeptic in general, but as a woman who suddenly had developed an underarm sweat DELUGE in the last few years I was desperate. (Seriously, I was considering Botox injections because the wetness was so ridiculous and embarrassing. I am a person that tries not to take an asprin unless it's absolutely necessary, if that gives you any perspective on how bad I had it.)
This product reduced the river to a tiny creek on the FIRST USE, and now that I've been using it every other day for 6 days I hardly have any wetness at all. Honestly. I was at the point were I sweated under my arms even when I was freezing cold. It would only take about 5 to 10 minutes after putting on a shirt for the wetness to bleed through it. Now, I sweat appropriately when I am exercising and not at any other time.
I feel so relieved, and now I can start wearing something other than black again!!!!! I think people must have thought I was in mourning of some kind for the last few years. :-) It does tingle and itch a little when first applied, but I didn't think it was much at all.
I am unbelievably relieved and happy, so give it a shot and maybe it'll do the same thing for you...
Customer Review: Look Ma, it works, it really works! Summary: 5 Stars
Since the sixth grade, so it has been six years and I don't want to sign up hence the kids review, I have dealt with underarm perspiration. I could never wear white (because after wearing it three times it would discolor), always wore black, wore an undershirt (which looks very akward for women), wore a sweater during the middle of summer, could never fully raise my hand in class, became very paranoid due to the sweating and tried many anti-perspirants Mitchum, Dove, Arrid, Secret, Ban, Lady Speed Stick and none seemed to have work. I was fed up, and finally researched options. After reading many reviews I decided to buy it. It was about five dollars but worth it.
The first day there were no signs of sweating. Although, for me, it felt like my arms were wet they were very dry. After walking home in eighty-degree weather for half and hour and being at school 8-2:30 there was still no sweating. For those interested make sure you follow the directions very careful, it is important and the makers place particular importance on it as well. (I also put on anti-perspirant just in case) All in all, it worked and finally I can be free from sweat marks on my clothes. I highly recommend it.
Customer Review: The antiperspirant I've been waiting for! Summary: 4 Stars
I've tried just about every drugstore antiperspirant available to women, including clincal strength formulas, and nothing has stopped my excessive underarm sweating. Such an embarrassing problem! I've even tried a few men's formulas (unscented, of course) to no avail. Certain Dri was a last-ditch effort before looking into more drastic and costly measures.
Thank goodness Certain Dri works! NOTHING worked for me, so I was so impressed when, on the second day of use, I had no underarm perspiration! I am not very active so I don't know how this holds up during workout sessions, but when used as directed it works amazingly well for my laid-back life. In the mornings I wear a drugstore deodorant to prevent body odor, but it's been minimal to non-existent on the days I forget to wear the drugstore stuff. I'll be looking into Certain Dry AM as well.
The only reason this product lost a star is because it irritates my sensitive skin. If I use too much of it, my underarms become tender and a bit red. I'm still looking for the perfect balance of how much to wear and how often to apply it, but I'll take some tenderness over excessive underarm perspiration ANY day!
