Customer Reviews of Cetaphil Gentle Skin Cleanser, 16-Ounce Bottles (Pack of 2)Customer Review: Looks Like Mucus, But It's Not. Summary: 4 StarsMy fianc?e is fastidious about personal grooming and takes particular care with her facial and upper body skin. At times in the past she experienced minor blemishes and a dermatologist recommended using the Cetaphil cleansing bar. She claims that it does an excellent job and she wouldn't be without it. Not too long ago, we were shopping in our local warehouse club and ran into a display of "Cetaphil Gentle Skin Cleanser" (for all skin types) in a lotion form in 20-ounce bottles. We picked up a couple after determining that it was the same product as the bar. We both prefer the liquid cleansers to the solid bars, if available. She has been very satisfied with this product.
It wasn't long before her eagle eyes focused in on my facial and neck skin. I've never had major skin problems, even as a teenager, but I experience a zit now and then and careful inspection will reveal a few blackheads here and there and a somewhat oily skin. Well, this simply wouldn't do. It wasn't long before I was washing my face and neck/shoulders with the liquid Cetaphil Cleanser. Has it improved my condition? To be honest, I can't really tell. She claims I'm looking better so I continue applying it when she's around. I'm somewhat skeptical, and I don't particularly care for using it. It doesn't lather well, for example. I greatly prefer a few other products in this regard. Also, it looks somewhat like mucus. It's not, of course, but they could surely come up with a better-looking product. It has no particular odor, and I'll give it credit here. I've had no negative reactions to it of any kind, but I've never reacted to any cleaner. So, this is a product that is difficult for me to rate. I'd say it was marginally effective and give it three stars, whereas she would unquestionably praise it and give five stars. Perhaps we might both be correct in that we may be reacting differently as individuals. Let's go with four stars.

Customer Review: Dermatologist Recc. Summary: 5 StarsIf you are looking for a gentle cleanser for sensitive skin - this is it. We use this on our little girl for her arms (they get a dry sometimes - i think from crawling around the floor).
Customer Review: lotion Summary: 4 StarsNice and gentle on the skin, smooth with practically no sent. I bought this product because of it's scarce paraban composition. My skin is extremely sensitive and if I put any fancy product on it I get rashes. Today unfortunately creams being over the counter or expensive creams, are loaded with chemical products inside, especially parabans, which cause the skin and your blood to over load with harmfull chemicals, which is not the case for CETAPHIL products. They are not 100% natural but they're close to it.
Customer Review: No need to rinse off Summary: 5 StarsThis product is so gentle there is no need to rinse your face after washing. It gets the job done too. Highly recommended by dermatologists.
Customer Review: I will always use this cleanser! Summary: 5 StarsCetaphil's Gentle Skin cleanser won't remove makeup, but I love the Gentle Skin Cleanser to wash my face with in the morning in the shower. In the morning, there's no makeup to wash off, but it freshens up my face after being pressed into a pillow all night long. I don't notice a film on my face after using it, it rinses clean. This cleanser doesn't take the place of a moisturizer and isn't meant to (after all, it just gets rinsed off down the drain)..... it's a gentle, non-irritating facial cleanser, and a very good one at that.
If you need a facial cleanser to remove makeup, try Cetaphil's Daily Facial Cleanser for Normal To Oily Skin.
