I have recently become concerned about putting petroleum products or other chemicals on my lips every day and decided to switch to a lip balm with natural ingredients. After trying quite a few and being very dissapointed with most of them, I have settled on this product.
It has no detectable taste and a very subtle scent that is plesant. It has good glide and consistency and leaves my lips feeling conditioned. It stays on a long time. There are no ingredients that can potentially irritate lips like camphor, menthol, alcohol, mint, peppermint or salicylic acid. In short, it is perfect.
The only drawback is that there is no sun protection rating. The reason for this is that adding sunscreen would either add non-natural chemicals to the ingredients list or it would require making the balm opaque with titanium dioxide which would leave a white tint on your lips. So I use this product most of the time, but when I am out in the sun, I use a different product with sunscreen (Chapstick Moisturizer SPF 15).
