I have always used Charmin and was so pleased when they came out with the mega roll. I find Charmin to be soft, but not too soft, and just the right thickness. Having more on a roll is a bonus.
I have been using the mega rolls since they first came out. At that time, they attached an adapter to each package so they would fit all holders. I was lucky, mine fit without the adapters, but I hung on to all of them and just passed them on to my son. Being able to get Charmin Mega Rolls on Amazon is wonderful. They are awkward to bring home from the grocery store. Now there is more room in the basket for those things you can't get on Amazon! Another advantage is fewer squished rolls. Squished toilet paper rolls annoy me. They just don't roll right. At the store, I would always try to find the package that was the least squished, but it wasn't always easy. When I happened to mention this to the store manager, he said the stock boys toss them to each other, which is why they are squished. My frustration free packaging arrived with mostly un-squished rolls (not 100%, but close). Nice little bonus.
Has anyone else wondered why people avoid changing the roll? I think a psychology student could do a thesis on this! I can't count the number of times I have found one or two sheets left. This annoys me so much that when I see a roll is running out, I put a new roll nearby. Then people use that roll rather than be the one to use up the previous one. What's up with that!
ETA: Charmin has come out with a new Mega Roll that is guaranteed to fit. They did this by changing it from a 400 count roll to a 352 count roll. Other than that, it is the same tissue.
