I have had knee injuries in the past, then last fall I had a break at the tib/fib behind the patella. I have had all kinds of braces and supports recommended to me. NONE of them helped much at all. It still hurt to walk most days, no matter how much physical therapy/activity I tried.
I bought this and have had it only one week. I cannot believe the difference---from day one! It provides unbelievable support that allows me to walk and bicycle and everything else, without constant debilitating pain. Don't waste your money on the other stuff, you will never regret this purchase.

I have patellar tendinitis from playing too much volleyball on hard gym floors, and I started wearing Cho-Pat straps a long time ago. They are simply a must-have for anyone who has patella problems, and the dual action strap is both comfortable and extremely supportive. This knee brace is terrific and gives me the support that I need above and below the knee. So far I have been pleased with this brace and it is described perfectly on the website. The sizing seems to run true and I would recommend this brace in addition to an under the knee strap brace. I think having different types of knee braces for different activities is important. The Cho Pat is fairly comfortable to walk in but you are aware of it being around your knee and it does restrict bending your knee a bit. If this fact bothers you then a simple under the knee strap is probably a better choiceCustomer Review: Works great

My son has had knee pain while playing and practicing for basketball for the high school team. A friend of mine told me about the Cho-Pat dual action knee strap and after reading the reviews on Amazon I bought one for him. His knee stopped hurting during and after practice and games. This really works! I asked him what felt different while wearing it and he said it just supports his knee and kneecap and it does not hurt anymore to play. He had pain just above the patella (kneecap) after playing. I highly recommend this if you are having pain in the knee from instability. I doubt it will work if you have arthritis but most knee pain seems to be from poor form while moving. If you are trying to make the decision to buy this or not I hope this helps.
