Customer Review: Treatment for Rosacea!!

This machine is wonderful! I have been battling rosacea for the past several years and thought the Claironic might help. I am using the delicate brush. My skin continued to appear still reddened with bumps even after 3-4 weeks of use, but there was improvement in that the pores were smaller. I then bought an expensive name brand cleanser and moisturizer for "sensitive skin" and it brought minimal improvement. The label on these products all read like a chemistry lab (except for the clairisonic cleanser). I looked up some of the ingredients from the store products for sensitive skin on an MSDS sheet and some were listed as "severe skin irritants" and even had "mutagenic effects". I wondered how can these be allowed in products and sold to people?? Anyway...I decided to go to completely chemical free products made of ALL natural ingredients to see if this would help the rosacea symptoms. I bought some Alaffia Milky Cleanser, Alaffia Antioxidant Moisturizer, and some Alaffia Shea butter(unscented). These products contain NO chemicals(read the labels!). I used the cleanser morning and evening with the Clairisonic, then applied the Moistuizer in the AM, then in the PM applied the moisturizer plus the Shea Butter, and at night topped all with a light coat of Metrogel (which I have been using for the past 2 years). I have only done this for 5 days and there has been a dramatic improvement! My skin symptoms are 80-90% improved and I am wondering if they may completely clear up with another week of use!...not sure. But if you have rosacea, chemical FREE is the way to go! Also...be sure that your makeup is also chemical free...a product like Bare Minerals which contains no talc or other irritants.Customer Review: Expensive, but worth every penny!!!

I purchased my pink Clarisonic for my birthday 4 months ago, and have absolutely no regrets spending $200+ for a facial gizmo this wonderful. When I first cleansed my face with this sonic brush, I looked at the bristles and saw how black they were. When I rinsed it off under the faucet, I knew this gadget worked. I see it for myself everytime I cleanse my face with it: the dead skin cells, pollution, irritants and dirt come off. When I feel lazy, I wash my face manually, and I notice a difference immediately, my face does NOT feel as clean as it does when I use the Clarisonic brush.
Keep in mind, I have tried every acne product known to man... including Proactiv and Murad (both of which are garbage)... for my acne prone, blemished face. I now use the Aveda Skincare line along with a few Lush products and my trusty Clarisonic... my acne has diminished to NOTHING... I don't get any breakouts anymore.... the blackheads seem to push themself out of my pores... the dark spots are fading (without the use of hydroquinone 2% or 3%)... the texture of my skin has drastically improved as well. I truly notice a difference... and will continue to use the Clarisonic.
Also, keep in mind that using this brush has nothing to do with the products you use... you can honestly use anything and everything you want. It is the actual movements and cleansing effects of the brush that truly help the skin look radiant.
I only wish the company made bigger ones for the back!!!
Give it a try and you will see a difference as well.

I first saw Clarisonic on Oprah's favorite things and I said to my husband "I want one of those for Christmas!" but it is not available for purchase where I live so I quickly put it to the back of my mind. Then last week, I was in Florida and was on my way out of Dillards when there it was on a shelf for purchase. I saw the price tag of $199 and felt a little sick but then the sales lady came over - don't they always! - and demonstrated to me on her face how it works. I got really excited because I love taking care of my skin. It's one of my simple pleasures in life at 36 years old.
I've been using it for a little over a week now, twice daily, morning and evening, and I love it! It's easy to use and you just know it's working because your skin will glow and your face will feel clean but not tight. I must stress the importance of using a gentle cleanser though or I can't promise that your skin will look its best, no matter what you do. I use Cetaphil Gentle Cleanser. If in doubt of what constitutes as a gentle cleanser, get to know Paula Begoun and her famous book "Don't go to the cosmetics counter without me".
The best part I've noticed is that the little pimples, lumps and bumps under the surface of my skin in the chin area are virtually gone! I used to pay $90+ per month on a facial to get that same result. I feel confident that with regular use you will have beautiful skin too!
PS. I also use it twice daily on my neck and chest area and it works fabulously!

Let me first say that I was very skeptical, and more than a little hesitant to spend so much money on a product. I've tried everything (I swear, EVERYTHING) and nothing has ever really helped my skin.
I have horribly oily, acne-prone skin. And I don't just get the little pimples...I get the big, ugly ones that take months to go away. It just so happened that I had a fresh crop of said big ugly ones when my clarisonic arrived. That was a little over one month ago.
Today, I have a tiny remnant left of one of them. ALL OF THE REST (and there were at least 10) of them are now just red marks. And the parts of my face that didn't have the gigantor zits now look AMAZING. Clear, glowing, and flawless...so much so that I feel like I look different. My skin has never looked this good. I've almost always had little bumps on my forehead...those are now completely gone, too. My skin is SO smooth, and for the first time ever, it's not an oil slick. It's...dare I say...NORMAL!
Even my boyfriend has noticed a difference. He think's it's because I'm using the cleanser he bought for me. What he doesn't know is that it's all because of the brush (I've been using the cleanser for years, and it's never worked).
This really is a great product. I use it twice a day with my usual cleansers, put on a little oil-free moisturizer, and I'm getting close to the point where I don't need foundation...I haven't left the house without foundation in YEARS!

I love this thing. I bought it almost 2 weeks ago and my skin looks amazing and feels sooo smooth. My best friend even bought one because she liked it so much. It gives you the feeling of a facial. Although my face seems a little more oily then usual, its defenitely cleaner. Today i actually didn't wear any of my bare mineral powder ,which by the way is the only thing i'll ever wear again. All i had to do was add a little blush and eyeliner and my skin looked great. Everyone that has tried it loves it. Which is every women in my family. I like both the normal brush and the sensitive brush you get with it. I was really sad to spend so much money on it, but i can't leave home without it now. It's a good investment if you usually get facials. I also thought that it might have been the cleanser but i used a cheap one from walmart and it felt exactly the same. i love this product.
Edit: I've had this since I last reviewed this and its Dec 2009. I love it still. It still works great, i bought a new head for it recently. It still keeps a charge and has zero problems even though i've dropped it a couple times. they have the new smaller one available. I will prob get both because my husband uses mine all of the time before he shaves and his face needs a stronger one like medium and we get tired of switching. I recommend this to everyone. I use it with the philosophy face wash, and i don't feel like it dries my face out at all.
