I was skeptical but hopeful when I first heard about the Clarisonic brush. Just reading the testimonials and knowing that I could get my money back, if necessary, made it worth a try. I am 32 years old and have been suffering from persistant acne since I was 13. I have tried EVERYTHING. Scrubs, creams, facials, pills, everything! In January I started out using the sensitive skin brush and quickly noticed an improvement in the texture of my skin. The number of new pimples was greatly reduced and the clarity of my skin was noticeably improved. However, I still had a few pimples, so I switched to the regular brush. WOW!!! Since I did that three weeks ago, I haven't had a single pimple and my skin is not an oil slick anymore. Also, the dark marks from old breakouts are starting to fade away. I cannot tell you how wonderful this feeling is, after twenty years of embarrasing pimples, to finally experience clear skin. I've always been self-conscious about my skin, even wearing makeup to bed, so that no one would see the real me. Now, I see the light at the end of the tunnel. Soon, I will be going out with just mascara and lipstick, like the lucky women I know and read about. I bought this after reading reviews of several similar products in the Wall Street Journal.
I've had mild acne into my adult life, which seems to get worse with stress and humid weather. My skin might be described as mildly oily. I also get some light blemishes around my lower neck area, which I attribute to shaving.
In general this product works as advertised. My skin feels less oily, and definitely "tighter". While it hasn't eliminated my acne 100%, it does seem to have lessened it.
The areas it hasn't seemed to make a big difference on is the "razor" burn type blemishes under my neck. I think that is simply due to the nature of that sensitive area.
I doubt if the special lotion that is sold as a sister product truly makes a huge difference. I've used the special lotion, and regular soap and water with similar positive results.
In general I think the product lives up to its claims. The product literature doesn't make wild unattainable promises. It simply says it can clean your face up to 2 times better than a regular washing. I think it hits that mark. I would recommend the product overall, but I'm giving it 3 stars for it's high price. First of all, let me start by saying I bought this item on QVC because of the easy pay as it is quite expensive. Let me tell you it is worth every penny. I have been using this machine for about 2 weeks and I have dramatic results. I only wish I had a before and after photo. I am african american with oily skin and had 2 dark patches on my cheeks. That's right I USE to look like I had 2 black eye's on my cheeks. (I have had those patches for at least 10 years) I tried everything to make them disappear including using prescription hydroquoine (that didn't work). After using the machine for about a week they disappeared. I still can't believe it. (it scared me) I used the machine along with black african soap
and a vitamin c serum. The results are amazing. The texture of my skin is beginning to change it is softer and glowing. I have not had glowing skin since I was 19. (I am 45) Intially it will make your skin dry and you will feel a tingling sensation the first few days but that will go away. You will begin to see your pores decrease in size and this is all within 2 weeks. I can't wait to see the results after a few months. This product is well worth the money. You get what you pay for.

At first I thought $200 for a face brush??? But so many people kept telling me how wonderful it was...and what really sold me on taking a chance was the idea that it would help my psoriasis. Not only did it do exactly that, it removed a deep pocket pore that kept producing a large blackhead.
My doctor said that the only thing he could do for that pore was to lance it and remove the pore that was creating blocked up cells; that medicines would not work as it had to get deep into the pore.
I believe the brush opens (like the sonic tooth brush) the pores, cleaning it thoroughly, and allowing creams to really work themselves in.
I can understand why some people may be unimpressed; I too wasn't too excited at first because all it seemed to do was vibrate. But upon viewing a video, I watched as I shut the brush off...and sure enough, the brush was moving so quick, the only way the eye can see that it IS moving is when it stops.
This allowed me to give it more than just a few weeks try.
NOw no matter how tired or ill I feel, I religiously clean with clarisonic twice a day. It is the best "gadget" I've come across in years!
Customer Review: Unexpected Benefit

I bought the Clarisonic hoping that it would unclog the large pores on my nose. Little by little, it is accomplishing that. I use the normal brush without irritation and it has definitely polished my skin. Now that it's smoother I feel like I'm using less moisturizer on my face. A little bit goes much farther now. I am 50 and have had dry, flaky skin...but since using the Clarisonic the moisture level on my skin feels much more "normal." It seems like the pores are unclogging and are operating like they should be now, and I don't get the patchy dry areas like I used to. Now, to the unexpected benefit: I did not at all expect the dark circles under my eyes to disappear, but they are totally gone. I haven't used undereye concealer for the past five days! The directions caution you not to use the unit near your eyes, but I use it on my under-eye area. I think the gentle massage gets things circulating there and keeps dark circles from developing under the skin. My skin feels tighter and firmer as well. I love how you can use it in the shower, and it's great on the upper chest area, too. I highly recommend it. As long as it is reliable, and lasts, I think it's worth the money.
