Customer Reviews of Clarity® Lens Cleaner Moist Lens Cleaning ClothsCustomer Review: Disappointing Summary: 2 Stars
I was looking to have a non-liquid item to clean my glasses while traveling. In the past I used a different brand name lens cleaner in a bottle that came with a soft cloth. I couldn't carry the bottle for flights and I often had to clean the dirty cloth. After reading the positive reviews for Clarity Lens Cleaning Cloth I made the purchase, because it came in convenient pouches, were disposable, and they said the cloth did not leave streaks. The price was a bit more than I wanted to spend, but I was willing to try something new and hopefully better. There are 21 cloths in each box.
I was surprised that as soon as I opened the package the cloth had a strong smell of chemicals, almost as potent as nail polish. I was worried the chemicals might irritate my eyes when I put my glasses on. I also did not like that the stinky smell got on my hands so I had to wash my hands each time. The cloth cleaned just as well as the other brand names I used before. It only leaves a blur of streaks if there is grease. I had to use two cloths in that situation. I could have easily gotten a similar product at the drug store for less and not bother with shipping costs.
Customer Review: WAAAAY better than the alternatives Summary: 5 Stars
I've tried Bausch & Lomb Sight Savers, Flents Wipe N Clear, and an Eckerd private label brand. These are much better. All the others smear, including the Sight Savers, which are noticeably less smeary but still smear. If you're using glass uncoated lenses, maybe the other options would suffice, but if you have anti-reflective coating or other coatings on your glasses or sunglasses, definitely go with these.
Also, I used to use cleaning cloths, but find that they pose risk of scratching your lens because you're re-using them, and they're not good at removing some gunk that needs a little wetness to come off your lens.
Customer Review: Better than toilet paper Summary: 4 Stars
I'm a lens cleaning fanatic and I have a million pairs of sunglasses and prescription eyewear. This product works pretty good but you still need to make sure you remove any debris from the lens or it may scratch. I run really hot water on the lenses to remove dirt and grease and then I use these cleaning cloths. You don't need to dry the lens which is great because that's when many people put scratches on them because they use the wrong thing to dry them.
Customer Review: Disappointment, despite homework Summary: 2 Stars
Despite reading dozens of customer reviews on eye glass wipes, I made an informed decision that I regret. Let mw weigh in on the side of those that did not like these wipes. The first use was good. Every subsequent use has left more to be desired. They are not very moist and leave a smear behind that I end up removing with a microfiber cleaning cloth anyway. Bottom line is that I now just use hot water and a dry lint-free cloth to achieve results.
Customer Review: Lens Cleaner Summary: 5 Stars
I always have problems cleaning my eye glasses until I was given some lens clear from my company's HR office. It worked so well, that I searched for the company that produced it and then i bought some. It worked great.
It's a bit pricy, but I recommend it.
