I've had 5th Fashy water bottles (I keep losing them, so now keep two on hand at all times!) and I love them.
They're a bit thicker rubber than others and the screw top is completely leak proof. You can squeeze it between your knees, hands, etc. and it will not leak under pressure. I have no qualms about having it in the bed to soothe achy parts or just to help keep warm and cozy on cold nights.
The most recent fashy I bought has a velvety velour cover which is wonderful! My previous have all been the plaid flannel type covers, and one was sweatshirt type material, but I must say the velour is much more cozy and comforting. (Take a look at the velour before you buy the fleece or plaid.)
There is something significantly more soothing about warmth from a hot water bottle than an electric heating pad or blanket. I can't give a logical reason for the difference, but it is readily discernible with the first use. Perhaps it is the easy way a water bottle moulds to your body vs. a more rigid or wired pad/blanket? It just feels more organic and alive than the electric heating devices.
Anyways, these fashy bottles are great. I take one when I travel (lost one or two that way, but it's worth it to have on the trip), use them when I feel chilly rather than cranking up the heat, use them when I have a muscle or joint aches, and even for stomach and neck aches.
Size wise, this is the size of an average water bottle. Unless the previous poster has found extra large water bottles somewhere previously I'm not sure why he/she has complained about the size - it is standard. They do make a smaller, kids version that is about 2/3 the size of the regular ones (I have one of those, too..) but the size of this one is fine.
Fashy water bottles are made in Germany and definitely seem to have a higher quality level than most others I've seen. They are worth the extra price. Once you have one you'll love it too! Buy it!
