I bought this as a gift for my honey, and he really likes it. He is a grad student and does a lot of his writing/studying sitting on our couch. The cushion does a great job of conforming to the lap and the desk is a good size for a laptop, without being too unwieldy. Great lap desk!Customer Review: crap quality

I love the design of the desk, however, this one is horrible quality. After only one month of use, it is worn down and ugly. I reccomend they make thicker desks of a higher quality. The cadilac of lap desks. Not kiddy, not geriatric, but classic style and looks like a piece of expensive furniture. Very comfortable on my lap, light weight, and easy to store. I purchased this for my father for his birthday and when I opened the box the edge of the desk was chipped. I was disappointed and I felt bad that it looked like it was used. Maybe it was just bad luck- the quality seemed to be ok.

I was very pleased with this item. I ordered it for my husband for his birthday and was very pleasantly surprised at it's quality and sturdiness. You can't tell how well something is made from a picture, but for the price, this is a great find.
