Customer Reviews of Clearblue Easy Fertility Monitor Test Sticks, 30 Count (Packaging May Vary)

Customer Review: A bit pricey, but best on the market
Summary: 4 Stars

I have used a one-month supply of these test sticks and they perform well with the Clearblue Easy Fertility Monitor. I have tried a few other kinds of fertility tests and there is no comparison. This is the best. I thought it was a little tough to figure it out the first day or two even though I read the instructions, as I was unsure if I was inserting the stick correctly into the monitor, but now its great.

The sticks themselves are individually wrapped and its a little tough to open the protective wrapping. When you open up a stick, the wick is exposed and the lid, which you use to cover the wick when youre done, is on the other end - like a pen cap. Three seconds is all you need, as the instructions state.

I am confident that this system is working and that it understands what is happening to my body each day. It is a really powerful tool and it is fantastic. I think it is much too expensive, however. But I would still insist that a person should buy it. Its that good.

One side note that I was utterly confused about. The first morning after your period starts is the first day according to the test. I found instructions about that really vague. Also, I accidentally wasted a test stick the first day because I was half asleep and the monitor never asked for a test stick. No harm, but just remember it will tell you when it wants you to test and that wont happen for about 5 days.

Customer Review: Excellent Product.

First off, I haven't yet began to try to conceieve, so I can't attest to how well it delivers the wanted result, however....

It's working great so far!

1. I have irregular periods. Very irregular periods. The first two months I had to use 20 sticks. After that the monitor learned to request a later start date for peeing on the sticks. And I've only used 10 stick per month for the past two months.

2. I have found it a way easier charting method than using Basal Body Temperatures. Just pee on the stick first thing in the morning, Pop it in the monitor, and you can get ready for the day as it takes about 3-5 minutes to show your result.

3. It's accurate! I have confirmed with my doctor that I am ovulating on the days it says I am.

4. This is the best price on the internet (even ebay auctions usually go for more).

5. The shipping is FAST! Last time I ordered it Sunday afternoon and it arrived Wednesday morning in the mail (no express shipping, just the standard free shipping that is offered).

6. Although the monitor start up costs are pretty pricey (I spent $100). The system only costs about $10-$15 per month (way less expensive than the digital Ovulation Predictor Kits which were costing me $40+ a month)!

Customer Review: Item is Great.. Shipping Time Slow
Summary: 5 Stars

I checked ALL over online and Amazon has got the best price.. Then with "free shipping" it's a can't beat price.. BUT the "free shipping" comes at a price of it's own.. I think your order sits and waits while everyone else who paid for shipping goes first. I waited two weeks then canceled my order when I found out it was still sitting at Amazon not shipped. SO you need to order in advance so you won't be stuck without sticks when your monitor is Asking you to test!!

The advice to order on ebay is fine.. as long as you get sticks that are not expired. I have read in auctions that expired sticks DON'T matter.. It DOES matter if they are expired the readings will not be as percise. This is a serious matter not need to go cheap on the sticks and cost yourself MORE time.

You need to have enough sticks to cover testing for each month from the same pack.. it helps the monitor to give a more percise reading.. It says that in the monitor directions and Customer Service will stress that point as well.

I agree with another poster on here too. You CANNOT read these sticks on your own. I would look to see if I could see a difference after the monitor told me my fertility status.. Couldn't tell.... SO these are JUST for the monitor!!

Customer Review: Not very impressed.
Summary: 1 Stars

I bought this from someone NIB some time ago and have been using it for two cycles, and I'm not yet impressed.

I've heard it "takes a few months/cycles" to "learn" your cycle, and some of the reviews I've seen on here are making me very concerned that I wasted my money on this.

IMO it should not have to "learn" my cycles. It should be reading if my LH and estrogen are increasing or not, no matter where in my cycle I am. I don't like that it automatically gives you two Peaks in a row. I don't like the fact that it may read my levels incorrectly and cause me to be "off" on when my O date is. I might as well use OPKs and hope my husband and I have sex at the appropriate time to conceive.

I like the six hour window (three hours before and three hours after I hit the button). I like its ease of use.

However I feel that this will only cause more stress on someone who is TTC and has health issues regarding it (PCOS).

I will give it ONE MORE cycle. After that, its going up for sale to someone who wants to give it a shot.

Customer Review: Test sticks work fine, even with PCOS!
Summary: 4 Stars

The test sticks work even if you have PCOS. I know some people in the ttc and pcos forums claim these sticks don't work for PCOS women. However, speaking from someone who has PCOS and cannot alter it with diet and exercise alone, these sticks have worked for the past 10 months to predict ovulation. I even got pregnant after the first 2 months of use, but it sadly ended in a miscarriage. But don't rely on the test sticks alone for ovulation, especially if you have irregular cycles. Temping, charting cm and other methods should be tried, especially during the first few months of the monitor's use. After about 3 cycles, it won't prompt you for sticks too early, especially if you have a longer cycle like most PCOS women. One word of caution: if you're using the monitor while taking fertility drugs, especially those that contain HCG or gonadotropins, don't waste your test sticks during those cycles. It will show up false positives and might throw off your next natural cycle. Basically, this monitor is great for natural cycles in predicting ovulation.
