I love these bars. I like to have chocolate flavor, but Power Bars melt into a gooey mess in the heat. I cycle and when I have a power bar in my belt bag, it doesn't melt. I can eat half of it and wrap it back up and come back to it after the ride without it creating a gross mess in my bag.
I can easily burn 1,200+ calories in a long ride, so it's really nice to be able to have something tasty to replace my lost carbs and sugar.
Some people don't like the taste of this bar, but they're my favorite.

I am a big fan of energy bars and I am always looking for a new one to try. I have heard great things about clif bars and was very excited to try them. This was the first one that I tried and I was not pleased with this one. It is very dense and not much flavor to it. I felt as though I was eating an under cooked brownie, and some may like that, but I do not. I am not going to give up on clif bars, I will try their other flavors but this one I will not purchase again.Customer Review: Clif Bars fill the spot

I order Clif Bars - Chocolate Brownie because of the taste and the convenience. And honestly, the price is better than most stores and competitive with the rest. Plus, I've noticed that some places have quit carrying this particular flavor. If you love chocolate and brownies, you get more nutrition and energy from this bar than from the real thing. I do like Clif Bars. Their texture and content are excellent. I generally like the taste and I think the results are on par with the best bars out there. The Chocolate Brownie flavor, however, tended towards chalkiness and I kept avoiding them until they were the only ones left in my cupboard. Chocolate Brownie Clif Bars are by far my most favourite flavour of energy bars. They're quite dense, chewy (in a good way,) tasty and they do fill you up. I keep a bar in my purse, along with my trusty reusable water bottle, for times when I don't have the time nor the energy to scrounge up lunch on my dismally small lunch break.
