Customer Review: Not a replacement for Clif Nectar bars!

I have been eating Clif Nectar bars for a while, as I want a gluten-free snack to take hiking and traveling. Unfortunately, Clif discontinued Nectar bars last fall. Now they are selling these "C" bars as their gluten-free product.
The flavor of this bar is OK, but not nearly as tart as the old Cherry-pomegranate nectar bar. But I won't be buying this bar again, for three main reasons:
1. The "C" bar is much too sweet. It has a cloying, sticky sweetness that I just don't like.
2. The texture is too gooey to make this bar good for anything but sitting on a shelf. Put it in your pack and after a bit of time it turns to a sticky mess. The Nectar bars were dryer and traveled well.
3. The nuts in the bar are sprinkled on top, not integrated into the bar. Since the bar is so moist, the nuts just get soggy.
It's too bad that Clif discontinued a good product that you could actually take with you on a hike, and replaced it with a candy-bar type thing that looks good but isn't practical to carry. Now I'll need to look for an alternative from another company!
