I have used the same Colpac ice packs for over 23 years, first in a massage practice and later at home. They keep the cold temp and shape to body contours very well. When treating with alternating hot and cold therapy, the Colpac wrapped in one layer of a dry or a wet handtowel is far superior to a bag of frozen peas or one of the flocking covered ones that I had used before. Colpacs don't leak, don't drip from melting ice, and take little room in the freezer. We often take them in a small cooler on trips for any unforseen emergency. Recently, I ordered two of the oversize 12.5" X 18.5" ones for a loved one who had suffered a complicated break to his leg and it could not be cast. By ordering through Amazon.com, they were soon there for him to use. He called to say how much he appreciated the Colpacs and that they maintained the cold temp. when the ones he came home from the hosp. with did not.
