Customer Review: Decent product with poor details

Probably the least expensive brush/razor stand on the market. It's decently made with the exception of the base which really needs a bottom pad. As is, the metal "cup" edges are exposed and tend to scratch whatever surface it's put on. I'm going to pick up some felt or thin plastic/rubber to fix the problem myself. I'm not surprised by this as, like most things today, it's built to a price point to maximize profit. I'd be surprised if it costs more than $1 to make so the markup is huge. Colonel Conk sounds like a British brand to me but the stand is made in Taiwan where labor is a lot less expensive than in the UK.
Does it serve the purpose? Well, kinda. It holds my Merkur DE razor just fine. Where either the manufacturer or Amazon falls far short is regarding the product specifications. My Tweezerman brush simply does not fit the way I expected it to. In other words, the narrowest part of the brush handle is still too wide to fit between the prongs on the stand. I can get the brush to fit if I insert it where the bristles meet the handle, which does get the job done. However, it just doesn't look right.
Would it have killed either Colonel Conk or Amazon to indicate the maximum handle diameter that will fit? Given the low price and the nuisance, I didn't bother returning it, but please be aware that this stand will not work properly with certain brushes.
