It seems to me that the only difference between these and the opk's you buy in a pharmacy is that these don't come with the plastic applicator and cap. I'm SO glad we made this purchase! Until now, I assumed I ovulated on day 14 of my normal 28-day cycle. So naturally I was surprised when I continued to receive negative test results on days 12-14! I began to think I wasn't ovulating this month until TODAY! Today is day 15 and I tested this morning around 8am and got a faint line. When I got home from work around 6pm BOOM, I got a dark, strong line! Now I know I'm just a late ovulator! Thank goodness! I am a Medical Technologist that reads Laboratory tests for a living. I would not recommend these tests. The test line never went darker then the control line. I ran this test along with tests (the ones made to hold directly in the urinestream)from CVS and Clearblue Easy both of those consistently resulted as positive at the right times.
If you are serious about accurately detecting your surge i would recommend not investing in this product. The slightly more expensive tests made to hold directly in the urinestream (which I believe this company also sells but I personally have not tried) seem to be a better more accurate investment.

I was nervous after reading the reviews about difficulty reading the results, but did not find this to be a problem. At first I thought that the LH predictors didn't work properly since I tested from day 12 through day 19 with consistently negative results but finally got a clear positive on day 20! Found out that I was pregnant 2 weeks later with a positive HCG test. I'm so happy I finally bought these, otherwise I would have gone on thinking that I ovulated on day 14 or 15 and no luck getting pregnant just like all the previous months. Save yourself the frustration and buy these! For such a low price, it's definitely worth a try!Customer Review: Get what you pay for...

I purchased these and used them soley for one month. You are supposed to have a line that is equal to or darker to indicate LH surge. Last month they did not show an LH surge only a light line. This month I purchsed Clear Blue Easy and used that and these tests. Clear Blue Easy was a much darker line and these showed a light line...which in the instructions states this is not the surge it must be as dark or darker. I tried to save money as most of us using these are spending alot, but I am having IUI and this is a critical portion. I would have missed it this month had I not bought the clear blue easy.Customer Review: Good price, good tests

The band was almost as dark as the control band when I tested positive; but that was enough for me, since I had read other reviews and knew this was the case with most people. Works great. The only issue is that there are no instructions or pictures at all. If I had not used store bought ovulation tests (they come with detailed instructions) before these, I wouldn't have known what to do or what to look for. Pee in a cup (first thing in the morning or after a 4 hour hold, limiting liquid intake) and dip the stick in until the line labeled "Mark". Then look for 2 lines.
