I have read the two reviews and was ready to add this beader to my shopping list when it dawned on me...I went back and enlarged the pictures of the two girls with the beads in their hair. If you count, you will see that each girl has at least 40 beads per strand. Since the kit only comes with 40 beads plus the 10 clip beads, you can only make two strands of hair with beads. If you think about it....this means you not only have to buy this product at about $20 plus shipping, but you have to find a store that sells beads and buy more. Was originally going to get this for my granddaughter but I think I'll buy her something else that won't cost extra to make the whole thing complete. I gave this product 2 stars because I think it would be fun, just not good enough when you have to buy extra beads to make it a complete set.Customer Review: Excellent, Easy to Master

This is an easy to use product. It works like a gem and quickly and easily puts beads on hair. I thought this might be the type of gift we use once or twice and never do again. However, it is so easy that we have been trying new things every day.
This uses pony beads that you can buy in many shapes and colors. You will really want to pick up more beads. This does not come with as many beads as you will want to use.
The one negative is that there are not enough clips. These clips are what keep the beads from falling off the hair strands. You can use pony tail holders but the strands of hair you use to string beads on are so thin that pony tail holders really don't work well.

I bought this for my 4 year old daughter for Christmas. She loves it! It is really easy to use (even my husband has mastered it). The beads look very cute, especially when a few strands in a ponytail are beaded, and it makes her feel glamorous. There is an assortment of beads; round, stars, ovals, and numerous colors.
There are just a couple of problems I see. Sometimes the clasp at the end of the beads comes undone and the beads fall out. Also, 40 beads sounds like a lot, but if the hair is very long or if you want very many strands beaded, the beads go very quickly. I would recommend purchasing extra beads. The directions say you can use any beads as long as they are the right size. I have not tried that though.

I purchased this for my daughter's 7th birthday party and beaded all the guests' hair. It was very easy to use. I purchased extra beads at the Dollar Store. My only complaint was in the method used to end the strands. There were 10 special beads used to end a row. This wasn't enough, and I couldn't find replacements. I tried to use little elastic bands but could have used instructions on how to put the bands in effectively. Perhaps someone with more ingenuity could figure out a way. Still, it was a lot of fun. And my daughter uses it with her dolls.Customer Review: A great present!

We bought the Quick Bead for our nieces who are 6 and 8 years old. The 8 year old had it working in a matter of minutes and took this product everywhere with her. She beaded all of her friend's hair and they all loved it. She even did mine! I think it really is a great present for young girls. The only downside is that you have to keep buying the replacement beads - unless you have some that fit and then use rubber bands to hold the beads on instead of their specific bead holder parts. All in all a really great purchase for the girls.
