Customer Reviews of Conair FB12NR Ultra Massaging Footbath with Water Jet

Customer Review: I'm happy with it
Summary: 4 Stars

I give myself regular pedicures and I chose this Conair over the Homedics because of: 1) customer reviews stated that the Homedics was very noisy and 2) I was attracted to the various pedicure attachments and the massage rollers --considering my needs, overall, this product delivers pretty much what it promises

Pros: nice design, very sturdy, doesn't slide, nice and deep, cord is reasonably long, motor is quiet on the first setting, removable splash guard and massage rollers are a good feature, so are the water jets and the pedicure attachments

Cons: the loofah pads are too soft and not very effective, the water cools off more than I would like, motor noise gets considerably louder on settings 2 and 3, the attachments motor is not as powerful as I would like

Notes: It took me some time to figure out the best way to use the attachments; it's a little awkward to have to push down on them to activate them AND rotate your foot at the same time to cover all the areas --if these attachments rotated on their own this would be a lot easier --also, I did not receive any gel inserts

P.S. I would love to see this footbath with the massage rollers on the bottom moving slowly back and forth on their own covering the whole lenght of the soles of your feet !!!! --Conair are you listening ????

Customer Review: Can't quite relax...
Summary: 2 Stars

I've always loved a hot tub of water to soak my feet at the end of a long day, and thought that adding some whirling jets and vibration could only add to the luxurious experience. Well, the time honored "simple is better" adage holds true here too. The item is big and bulky and by the time it has the water in it, it's heavy too. The basin doesn't seem deep enough, as my ankles stay dry (ankles need love too!). Also, the cord on the machine is relatively short considering you want to be sitting in a comfy chair at the same time. So you either need to hope your furniture is situated near an outlet, or drag out an extension cord. But MOST IMPORTANTLY, my biggest issue is the noise. Now, I didn't expect total silence from a vibrating machine, but this thing is LOUD...and I have a really hard time unwinding when I'm listening to an incessant and loud hum. Also, the water really doesn't stay very warm. Overall, I would recommend sticking with the tried and true plastic tub of (motionless) water.

Customer Review: Weak, Loud, and Overpriced
Summary: 2 Stars

I requested and received this foot spa as a Christmas gift a year ago. Conair makes it sound like heaven! Not even close. The heat mechanism doesn't keep the water warm, it is LOUD (I have to turn the TV up insanely loud just to hear it). Now I didn't expect it to be super quiet, but I did expect to be able to hear the TV at a normal level. After only a few uses, the jets stopped working. The vibration and bubbles are great and still work fine (vibrating and bubbling lukewarm water), but that's about it. The little "hanger" thing they expect you to store your pedicure attachments on is a JOKE. It kept falling off so I just threw it away after about a week of driving myself crazy with it. And because of that, I have now lost all the attachments that came with it. This unit is terribly over priced. I don't even use it anymore. I use a regular motionless foot tub (one I got from the hospital actually) and it does just as good. Save your money!

Customer Review: Good Value for the Money
Summary: 4 Stars

OK, let's be honest people. This, nor any other home product, is going to give you the same results as the commercial grade foot spas used at salons. But, it does do a more than adequate job for at home use. I suggest that you place the unit on a towel and fill it with water a little warmer than you normally prefer. This will allow for the cool down of the water as the heat is activating. The unit does maintain water temperature but does not heat the water. The vibration, bubbles and water jets all work as described and are very soothing. Your feet will feel energized and relaxed after being in the foot spa. The pedicure attachments hang conveniently on the side of the unit and work either dry or wet.

For a $50 investment, this will allow you to soothe or warm your feet in the winter months.

Customer Review: Excellent!
Summary: 5 Stars

This is the best gift I gave myself in years. This foot bath has everything one can wish: Massage, pleasant vibration, water jet, scrubbing pads, water is continuously warmed. This model is similar to the top of the line model by Homedics, but in my opinion it looks better and is slightly larger. It is built of sturdy and smooth plastic and includes three rotating attachments for pedicure: pumice, brush and massager. Attachments are activated by the foot pressure and require some practice before you feel comfortable with it. The water temperature is maintained a little bit colder than I would choose but still pleasant. I use soaking salts from "Bath and Body Works". Overall this is a heavenly experience after a buisy day if can give yourself 15 minutes after kids go to bed.
