I bought this item for my mother in law at christmas and she loved it. she said it was great. So i thought i would try it because im so tired of the little straightners that i have straighten like 5 times to even get it straght. I have really thick hair so i thought this iron would be good. turns out i was wrong. Now dont get me wrong it worked when i did really thin strands of hair and very little at a time. I thought this iron would be different. I feel like i have wasted my money. And when the comb is on it literally pulls at least five pieces of hair out at one time. Maybe its just my hair but i think that was a waste of money. Good luck to whoever buys it.Customer Review: Terrific product.

I recently bought this hair straightener for my mother after it got rave reviews from my girlfriend. I have never used this hair straightener (hair is too short, I am a guy, etc.) but the common impression that my mother and girlfriend have given is that this is the best hair straightener anywhere near this price.
In terms of durability, my girlfriend has had this model for over 3 years now, and it looks as good as new whenever she uses and she has never complained.
So in conclusion, two women have said this model gives them the best hair straightening they can get, in the salon or out, and it is very durable. 5 stars.

I honestly cannot believe this costs $20. I was skeptical because I have used other ceramic irons that cost $100, $150 and up and this works just as well as they do, if not better. I have never ever been able to get my naturally wavy, thin, damaged hair to ever look like this. In 15 mins I have stick straight hair that is shiny and glossier than ever. Seriously my hair always feels like straw, hay, actually haha but now it feels like the soft, shiny virgin hair of a 6 year old. I may buy a few more of these just in case anything ever happens to this one, its amazing. Don't waste your $$ on anything more expensive, this is all you need, trust me.Customer Review: Great product! Does its job well.

Totally agree w/ the previous comments written for this product. Received it as a christmas present from my sister after hearing my constant complaints and frustration with the one I was BARELY USING (which was $30 VS gold-plated straightener that DOES NOTHING BUT BURNS HAIR!) This flat iron does the job right and there is no hassle about it. Good features include:
1. ON/OFF buttons allow you to have it plugged in (unlike some other ones where you have to un-plug the entire unit in order to shut it off)
2. Wide surface area allows you to get alot done w/ minimal repetition.
3. Dial to control heat level; heats up quickly

In 2002, I bought the first hairdresser from CONAIR - hair setter. In fact, I fall in love with it, as it was my best friend since then. I didn't know that all their hairdressers will give me as rewarding results until I tried this year three of their products, which are CONAIR CHV26IX, CS19JCS and CD 160DRCS.
Hair dressing has never been as easy. I've tried many from other brands but none worked with me and gave me salon results as CONAIR, I thought the problem was with my curly hair until I tried CONAIR ones. Their products are life saving!
Thank you CONAIR, you've always been my best friend wherever I go.. : )
