So far this has been the best straightener that I have ever used. It heats up fast and you only have to run it through your har one time. I can now straighten my hair in just minutes. It gets extra hot. You have a power on button and a turbo power on button and with that it gets turbo hot! The removeable comb in awesome!! I love to use it because it saves time without being annoying like some products with extra features. It is easy to remove by sliding out but stays in place when put back on, it is also easy to put back on. This has been the hottest straightener that I have ever used. I love Conair styling products. I have no bad things to say about this wonderful product. The only thing that can be a small con is that sometimes I have to hit the power on button 2-3 times to get it to turn on, which is easy to tell because the light comes right on. Other then that, this item is simple to use and works very well and heats up wonderfully which saves time. The Amazon price is about $5 bucks less then Walmart's price where I got mine and this straightener was money well spent. It cost a little less then straighteners that do not work as well. Conair products are known to work great and last a long time!! With the removeable comb and all the features this deserves 5 STARS! Usually you will get a straightener that does not have the removeable comb or turbo on putton and there are also 25 heat settings, it is simple to use and works great!Customer Review: Never Going to Blow Dry My Hair Straight Again!

I usually do not style my hair after washing because I am very impatient and hate perspiring from running the hot blow-dryer. My results from blow-drying with many expensive straightening serums or creams were never totally great, and my hair was still a bit frizzy. I have thick, long, wavy hair that gets frizzy in the Florida humidity, and blow-drying takes me 20-25 minutes and is so cumbersome. I would usually wash my hair and throw it back in a ponytail, and styling my own hair became the norm for me only for special occasions- until now.
When I first got the Conair straightener, I washed my hair in the morning, let it air dry, and then later in the evening, I tried the straightener. It took me only about 6-7 minutes to straighten my hair to be smooth and sleek. It was so easy! (I did not find the straightener to be cumbersome at all. I made sure I brushed my hair to get out any tangles before straightening.) It's been two days since I straightened my hair, and it's still smooth and straight, even with the humidity!
I absolutely love this straightener! It's also great for those who want to put finishing smoothness to their hair after blow drying. It heats up quickly with adjustable heat, the comb helps hold hair tame when straightening, and the results are fantastic! The Conair Straightener is a must-have for those of you who want beautiful smooth and sleek hair FAST!

I bought this straightener over a year ago, and it worked great. I have EXTREMELY thick, long, curly hair, and this baby worked great.
However....
I would not recomend this product to anyone who has thin, fine hair, or to anyone who has a sensitive head... like my sister. She has pretty curly hair too, but her poor head was just too sensitve, and after about five mins. of me straightening her hair, she was screaming at me, saying it just hurt too much. And I must admit, my hair also got caught in it a few times, but it was truly nothing to worry about.
And one more con, It does give off a strange smell while straightening, but from what I've heard, that's pretty normal, along with all the steam.
I was truly satisfied with this product. It got my hair smooth, sleek, and no frizz, but I would recomend a VERY small amount of hair spray, just to give your hair that perfect shine.
But alas, after a year's use the plates got kind of dark, and the thing started to steam waaaay more, along with a more putrid smell. So I recently bought a Vidal Sassoon straightener, that is "supposed" to work on wet and dry hair.... and I can safely say that THAT DIDN'T GO TO WELL. So, I'm just going to take that one back, get my refund, and buy my trusty conair again.

Okay, i have that metal *four styles* conair straightener, and .. well.. the straightener relaly sucks! So i turn to my friends when i want beautiful hair. My best friend just got this new straightener for her birthday, and she was gonna test it on me. I was a little skeptic because of the bad experience i had had with my own conair. But when she plugged it in and strted right away, i went "hey dont you have to let it warm up for like 30 minutes?" Because my own barley worked after 40. "no, wait and see" she said. 20 minutes later my hair was so gorgeuse. i have naturally platinum blonde hair, and i always wear it in a pony tail because it is SUPER think and poofy. But looking in the mirror, it was stick stright with no pony tail crimps!! I wore it down out in public for probably the first time in 4 months. (sad i know). the next day it was just as good, and i showed it off at a high school football game where i just knew everyone was amazed that it was me! I love it and after looking at all these CHI and Wigo ones i am definatley getting this one! I have been asking my friend what kind it is, where she got it, and finally i've got it! I have to restain myself from using it every day. i've used my other friend 130$ Wigo striaghtener, but my hair got poofy the next day and it took longer because the platers were smaller. the first time i used an actually decent flat iron was this one...the last dance of school was coming and my friend let me borrow her flat iron...i was skeptical because i have the curliest...kinkiest...creepiest...hair imaginable...anyways...i tried it and it worked WONDERS...my hair was smooth and shiny...i was afraid it would look dull and dead but none of the such happened...i was so glad...the next day i received loads of compliments :) lol. i went out a bought it and i have been continuing to use it for over a year now...just a few things to bear in mind...
A) after a year or so...the clamp gets weak so you have to press the plates together harder
B) DON'T use any hair products when straightening your hair like smoothing balm or anything...the plates burn it and it singes the ceramic and it literally destroys your hair...trust me i have learned this from experience...
C) the advantage to this flat iron is that you can straighten your hair and it LASTS...you can go on for a week and it would still be straight...this is where you use those straightening balms...before going to bed apply some (not like a goopy amount...just a little...and use john frieda brilliant brunette straightening balm) and tie your hair in a loose ponytail...in the morning you'll have Catherine Zeta-Jones waves that we die for...:)
D) BUY IT!!!
