I just received the heating pad so I'm unable to give a long-term-use opinion; however, I'm satisfied for the price. Unlike some of the reviews, I think it gets a little too warm after it's been on for a while, but I expected that because I read the cautions in the instructions; it warns not to leave it turned on for more than 20 minutes. But I feel it fits my purpose, which is for an occasional body ache ... or to warm an old cat for 10 minutes in order to get her off my lap while I type reviews. :)
