Customer Reviews of Conair Infiniti Tourmaline Hair Designer (Wine)Customer Review: Really works! Summary: 5 Stars
I have long, thick curly hair and have real problems straightening it. I usually just have to go to a salon to get the job done (and it takes them about an hour!). In the past I've spent a small fortune on straightening aids and products that just don't work, so I decided I would wait a little while to buy this dryer to see what others thought of it. I kept the box it came in so I could easily return it. I threw the box out the first time I used this dryer. The infiniti did SUCH a good job, though it took a few minutes to figure out how to work with the special head (you have to push or pull your hair into it, easy after a few strokes). My hair was not dry or brittle but super soft. I did have to use a ceramic iron to get a high gloss but this was my first time using the dryer so I might not have given it enough time to work its magic. Usually drying my hair takes upwards of 45 minutes (it is soooo thick) but drying & straightening my hair with this dryer took about 25 min. Definitely worth the cost for anyone looking to straighten or just speed up their drying time.
Customer Review: A Hair Revelation! Summary: 5 Stars
My stylist has been recommending this blow-dryer with straightening attachment for at least a year. I see that the price has been going down recently, and decided to try it. Oh.My.Goodness! I love this.
Upon my stylist's recommendation, I sit down and watch TV while drying my hair. It is relaxing, fast (less than 10 minutes when I sectioned it drying the bottom first, then the top of my shoulder-length hair), and I get to take in the news instead of concentrate on whether or not my part is straight! It also gives my arm a break (I'll admit that the dryer seems heavier - but perhaps that is the result of not setting down the dryer multiple times like I did when using a brush).
The result on my hair? While normally frizzy-curly, it can be straightened very flat with a flat iron. But there is no body normally. This gives me bouncy-body in my straight hair the first day (no frizz, very little product) and on the 2nd day I can use hot rollers for even more bounce or a flat iron if I want to look really sleek.
Wish I'd tried it sooner!
Customer Review: More than I expected... Summary: 5 Stars
I read all the reviews here, and debated about buying this blow dryer. It seemed that it worked best on people with thick, very curly hair. I have fine, very wavy hair, and a lot of it, and didn't know if this would work for me - usually I have to pull my hair very taut to straiten it with a round brush, and I can't do it everyday because the heat and stress really damage my fine hair. I was pleasantly surprised to find this product worked really well. It's a bit awkward to use at first, but no more so than trying to use a round brush on the back of my head! My hair feels very healthy and shiny, and the drying time was a lot less than a regular dryer. Others have complained that it doesn't get hot enough, but I found it to be perfect - hot enough to do the job well and quickly, but not so hot that it fried my hair. For once a gadget has exceeded my expectations! It's not perfect - I'm keeping my flat iron, but will sure use it a lot less. Now if only Conair made a diffuser attachment to fit this dryer....
Customer Review: Design is great, however..... Summary: 2 Stars
As a person who has used this "type" of hairdryer for over 30 years, I have to rate this new product as so-so. While the design is innovative, allowing airflow through the rear of the device rather than the side (which sucks up hair and breaks it off), it does not have the heat nor the wattage to straighten curly hair as effectively as other conair 'hairbrush stylers' - i.e. a hairdryer that brushes through the hair. Other styler dryers are more effective with higher wattage (I'm currently using another Conair at 1875 watts with brush attachment) and high heat settings, which is much more effective for straightening hair, however, does cause a great deal of breakage. The rear airflow is a much better solution to avoid breakage, but needs to have hotter temperatures to actually straighten the hair. My hair is EXTREMELY curly and I have tried most every hair dryer out there to blow it straight. This new product falls very short of my expectations, however, is on the right track for the perfect styler-dryer.
Customer Review: TEN STARS!!!!!!!!! Summary: 5 Stars
This product is even more amazing than I had hoped for. I read about it in Allure Magazine as on of their Best Beauty Breakthroughs. Wow, is it ever!
I have never figured out how to even do a halfway decent job blowing out my hair myself. So all I ever do is either stick it in a frumpy ponytail, or shell out thirty bucks for someone to do it for me.
I used it for the first time today. Couldn't be simpler. It's just like a regular hair dryer with a comb on the end. I actually did it while I was reading the newspaper online.
In about 15 minutes my hair looked like I had just walked out of a salon!!!! I could not believe it. Stick straight, and no frizz, even though it's pouring rain outside. My daughter just did hers. She actually used a mirror. Her hair looks amazing too.
I know it is hard to believe that something does what it claims to. But it does. If blow drying is an issue for you, like for me, don't think twice!!! Buy it now!!!!!!!
