I'm considering buying my third one of these because it's always been easy to use when straightening my semi-curly hair. The frustrating thing, though, is precisely that it will be my THIRD ONE. I think I've had each of the previous ones for less than a year because after a few months it starts to smell like burning hair or plastic when using it, then after a few more months it sporadically fails to work when plugged in. Sometimes the combination of pushing reset buttons on the power outlet and on the plug will do the trick, but at some point it simply refuses to turn on again. I'm not sure if I can bear the hassle again, but I don't see any other dryer with a stiff brush attachment on the market.Customer Review: Great dryer - shame about the combs

Between us, my daughter and I have owned 3 or 4 of these. They are fast, light-weight and not too noisy (considering how powerful they are) but the big drawback is that the combs don't last long; once the first tooth falls out, others follow rapidly. Replacement combs are not available through the Conair site. My daughter, who has very thick, curly hair, has burned out at least one of these dryers but I have never had that problem, and my hair is medium-thick and wavy. It really bugs me that I will have to buy a new hairdryer just to get the combs. Oh, and in my opinion the brush is so soft, it's totally useless. If it weren't for the comb and brush problem, I'd give this 5 stars.Customer Review: Couldn't live without it!

I had used this for at least 5 years before I purchased a new one on amazon... And I LOVED it. I flip my head over and use the brush attachment, It works so well to get my hair smooth and give it a little bit of body. I have never used another hair dryer where I didnt have to straighten my hair after to make it look more smooth and straight, but this hair dryer leaves it perfect so I don't have to mess around with it after it's dried. The only downside is that with the new one that I got off amazon, the three attachments don't always stay attached to the hairdryer and sometimes when I'm drying my hair they will fall off.. But I still think it is worth the purchase!Customer Review: Incredible

I have long (past shoulder-length) hair which is frizzy and wavy. Typically, it takes me at least 30 minutes to straighten it. (with an expensive straightener nonetheless!) This hair dryer dried my hair completely in FIVE minutes flat. It was straight, soft, and shiny. I slept on it, woke up, straightened it for TWO minutes then was ready to go with perfectly straight hair.
True, it was a bit loud, but if it can make my hair straight in less than five minutes.. I really don't care.
Best hair purchase yet.

This is my first dryer. It dries my natural hair very quickly using the low heat settings. But unlike my mother's Conair dryer it does not straighten my hair as well nor does it leave it feeling soft like my mother's Conair dryer; that is the only thing that is missing. I like the fact that it feels so much like a brush due to the design, this makes it easier for me to dry my own hair.
It is a little on the noisy side which I don't mind, I find the high heat settings to be quite hot.
