I'm with the other review. What did these people want this thing to do? Wash their backs???? It plays music, and has great volume range. It's all I wanted and it beats Walmart, as their shower radios were over $100!!! This thing does what it's supposed to. Maybe it's defective - I'll find out about returning it. I put brand new batteries in the radio and it turns on very, very loud (too loud to listen to without muffling it with a towel) or very, very soft. There's no in between.
Update: I returned the defective radio and received a new one almost immediately - and it works perfectly!
It's not great sound, but for this price it deserves all the stars it can get.

Conair should stick to making blow dryers. Do not waste your money on this poor quality (even at $10) radio. The sound goes on and off or suddenly becomes very loud when turning the knob to adjust the volume. Reception is also very poor. I would return it, but with the return shipping cost I'd barely come out in the black. It's just not worth it.Customer Review: Works as advertised

Just right for the morning shower. Easy to use, fairly good reception. Sometimes you may need to move it at bit to get some more clarity in signals.
