Customer Reviews of Conair Xtreme Instant Heat Multisized Hot Rollers, Pink

Customer Review: Unbelievably flimsy!
Summary: 2 Stars

Is plastic getting expensive? Because the plastic that the hinged cover on this is made out of is SO THIN...I would describe it as "fragile." In fact, there's already a small crack on one side.

The on/off switch was also faulty - I had to jiggle it back and forth to get it to turn on initially. It would only stay on if I kept the switch positioned in the middle.

This is by FAR the poorest quality set of hot rollers I have ever bought.

I only gave it two stars because it DID heat up evenly, and the rollers themselves would be nice in a better "house."

Thank goodness the switch was faulty and part of it arrived cracked, since you can return defective items and not pay for the return shipping on Amazon!

Customer Review: Love It Love It
Summary: 5 Stars

When I first opened up the box to this set of hot rollers, I though it was not going to last me long because it seemed cheap. Once I started to hook it up and everything it heated up quite quick, but it made this sound like it was working really hard to heat the rollers. But I found out that looks can be deceiving. I love these hot rollers so much. Pros: the velvet rollers don't burn my finger tips, it's gentle on my hair when I remove them and they are light when on your head. Cons: the lid is kind of fragile which break easily (I chips apart of mine); also I'm not fond of the pins that comes with the rollers so I ended up using bobby pins, which works wonderfully. Overall the product works very well, but how long will they last me, I don't know.

Customer Review: Coniar Ion Shine Rollers
Summary: 4 Stars

I don't know if it makes your hair shiny or not (I never noticed increased shine) however, I do think it does it does a nice job. It worked better when my hair was around shoulder length, but it puts a nice curl in your hair and as long as it's not too humid out, it stays in. Now that my hair is down to my waist, it doesn't hold curl anymore. Just a little on the ends and if it's even a little humid, forget it. The main thing that bothers me about this set is the clips that hold the rollers in. I don't know what they were thinking, but they really suck. They pull on your hair a little while they're holding the roller in and make you look an awful lot like madusa. Anyone who happens to see you will most certainly have a few jokes and laughs.

Customer Review: Conair Hot Rollers
Summary: 4 Stars

I have been using hot rollers since I was a teen. I have tried many brands, and have been sorely disappointed in all but Conair. In my opinion, they are the best around. The only negative for this set are the clips. I much prefer the previous design. They were light and flexible and held the rollers in place. These clips are too small; do not hold the rollers securely, and they are made of hard plastic which is not the most comfortable material. Fortunately, I kept my old clips and they work fine with this set.

The rollers heat up quickly, and as promised give great shine to the hair. I give a thumbs up!

Conair would be perfect if they could design a case that doesn't break during travel.

Customer Review: Not quite perfect - but pretty darn good for the money!
Summary: 4 Stars

I've had this set now for a few years. I would consider myself an special occasion user of hot rollers (maybe 10 times a year). Here are the pros:

1) There are plenty of rollers for doing long (but not super long) hair
2) They heat up quickly and are very hot to get a good curl
3) They take a beating and have moved across country with me and still keep going.

... and of course the cons:
1) The clips are worthless, they don't stay in and leave a mark on your hair
2) They are not easy to travel because they are not compact

I'd suggest getting the Conair-SPC10-Super-Clips to go along with these.

Best of luck and happy curls!
