Customer Review: Very good, but some limitations

I use this item in bed, exclusively. Had previously used an elevated pad to control acid reflux and used an elevated pad for my legs. The pads kept separating during sleep. This solves that problem - Pads are joined by a zipper. It is true that the zippers tend to open easily. I tied button thread around the top of the zipper, which has alleviated that problem. Biggest complaint - The covers for the cushions are either difficult or impossible to remove for cleaning. The zippered openings should be much larger. Since I use this in bed with sheets, that isn't a significant problem for me. If using without additional covering, it would be very difficult to keep it sanitary. The cushion at the feet shifts too much if brought forward to fully elevate the legs. Haven't completely solved that problem yet. A folded towel or sheepskin or other padding should be placed over the zipper that is located under your behind if using overnight or for extended periods. Although arms tend to lie off the pad, placing a pillow on each side as armrests provides better body alignment than extending the width of the cushions. If sensitive to VOCs, let cushions air out for a few weeks before using, as I did. In spite of the imperfections, I still rated this 4 stars because it is such a big improvement over what I had before. Has improved my comfort level significantly. Unlike another customer, I think the firm cushions are a real plus.
