Customer Review: I finally found a fish oil I like

I really don't understand why we have to take fish oil of all things, but everything I read says we do and my doctor even recommends it. I've tried so many different types of pills and have hated them all for various reasons, and finally I saw this in the store and decided to give it a try. Before I purchased it, I thought I'd get on here to see what everyone thinks and when I saw all the positive reviews I went ahead and purchased it as a "Subscribe and Save". As a Subscribe and Save, the price for 90 days was just a little more than the price for 30 days in the store!
The taste of this is delicious. It's got a pudding-like consistency and it tastes just like a creamsicle. There isn't one bit of fishiness to it at all. I highly recommend it for anyone who wants to take Omega-3.

My son suffers from itchy skin and bumps on the backs of his arms. These are the only fish oil product he's been willing to take, because they don't taste fishy at all. While I don't care for the stevia-sweetened taste myself, my two kids love them and ask for them daily, and my husband (a self-professed non-supplement-taker) will even eat them and likes the taste. I've seen a dramatic difference in my son's level of itchiness and the bumps on the backs of his arms disappear when he's taking this. When I slacked off and stopped giving them to him for a few weeks, the bumps came back and he was more itchy. With all the benefits to brain, vascular system, and skin, you can't go wrong with these! if you're into Omega-3, Coromega is a somewhat tolerable way to take the supplement. the individual packets are like a condiment packet and you can squeeze it out directly into your mouth or onto a piece of bread. to me, it tastes like orange fish sherbet. the unopened box and individual packets smell strongly of fish, so have a well sealed container to store these unless you want your whole house smelling like fish all the time. and if you carry a packet with you, have a container for that.
currently, each packet is 2.5 grams of fish oil and vegetable oil (20 calories) having 350mg EPA, 230mg DHA and vitamins C & E. pharmaceutical grade.
consider getting as much omega-3 as you can from natural foods like fresh salmon, tuna, avocado and walnuts.

I bought this to get my kids started on an Omega-3 supplement and it's a great idea; however, while it's probably the best option you have for kids, it does not taste good. It has an unpleasant orange taste, certainly OK enough for an adult, and maybe for some kids, but for many kids I think you will have a battle. My daughter will take it mixed in some chocolate yogurt but she's a really good sport. My son HATES it in every combination I've tried so far. It is very hard to mask the dominant orange taste. I am trying it today in a couple of tablespoons of raspberry sorbet and see if that will fly--it might as the supersweet flavor of the sorbet goes a long way to mellowing the orange. I started taking this as recommended by my Doctor for high cholesterol (not this particular brand, just fish oil). I tried this because of the positive comments such as no fish burps and easy to take. The pleasant, unexpected side effects I experienced were as follows:
No more pain from arthritis in my thumbs (I have had this pain for several years).
No more shoulder pain (injured doing a yoga move and had physical therapy following injury and was left with everyday pain in my shoulder joint and some tingling and numbness down my arm. It is gone.
Softer skin.
More alert.
I recommend this to anyone who will listen. I had no expectations when I starting taking this. I will never be without it!
