For three years I took Schiff's, then Members Mark (Sam's Club own brand), and finally NOW, and the pain in my knees got to be excruciating. I couldn't take a step without cringing. After reading the reviews for this brand I gave it a try. I am astonished at its efficacy. The very next morning the pain was gone. I gardened all day and the next morning there was no pain either. If you are about to give up on glucosamine, don't, give this brand a try instead.Customer Review: Cosamin DS is great

I give my big dogs Cosamin DS for their joints. It's made by Nutramax Labs, the same company that make's the brand Cosequin sold by Veterinarian's. It has good science behind it and it works by promoting cartiledge formation and synovial fluid production, which keeps dogs active and comfortable as they age. Cosamin DS comes in larger quantities for less money than the Cosequin sold by Vet's and I give it to 3 big dogs twice a day, so it's more cost effective.Customer Review: Partial Relief

We bought this for myself and my cat. The cat gets 1/2 pill twice a day (now down to 1/3 pill twice daily). The cat has gotten fabulous results. She stopped limping within 2 weeks. My results have been so-so but then I'm not through the inital period of 2-3 months. I have tried this regime before and got no relief but your formula is supposedly better so I will give it a full test of 3 months.

The company, Nutrimax, does NOT offer a $ back guarantee for starters. I took the capsules as directed; i.e. 3 capsules per day for a given time (I think a month), then two on a daily basis. After three months, this item has helped NOT AT ALL.
Save your $. The only thing that has worked for me is Feldene, but sooner or later I'll have to face that I need a knee replacement. OH Well! No miracles out there.

My doctor recommended this brand and said it was the purest and would not upset my stomach. There are other brands that are cheaper, but this is the one to take. I have been using this brand for a long time, and I feel much better. The company got it to me quickly which was nice.
Also, through Amazon, I paid less than any of the other drug stores charge. That was really great. Thank you, Amazon
